Mac Mocha Lipstick

Mac Mocha Lipstick

I'm still reeling from the end of that amazing long weekend. The chase for friday begins! Anyway, back to the review. Mac Mocha has always been one of those lipsticks which I've always wanted but never felt like I needed it. One fine day I was feeling a bit extra spendy and I decided to get it. I'm been loving it since! Mac Mocha is from the Satin finish range of lipsticks. The colour is like a peachy brown. It's very much so suitable for olive/Indian skintones and a very nice warm neutral…Read more
August 2014 List Love

August 2014 List Love

I haven't done one of these for a long time. For new readers, List Love is basically where I list down notable bloggers, books and in general anything else I'm chuffed about!     Link Love - Books 1. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn - I was in the mood to read a nice thriller and this was on the Kindle bestseller list. I liked it! The ending was a bit unexpected but overall I liked the mystery! 2. Sir Vidia's Shadow by Paul Theroux  - It's a very different book from what I've read…Read more
L’oreal Moist Matte Lipstick in Lincoln Rose

L’oreal Moist Matte Lipstick in Lincoln Rose

I just be the last person so review these but I don't wear red very often, so it takes me longer to review brights! Anyway, this particular shade of this pretty has a cult status for being the lipstick in this picture, if you don't already know. Gonna start off with saying that these lipsticks are amazing. I bought more shades after trying the first one. Money well spent. L'oreal Moist Matte range comes in 8-9 (mostly) bright shades. One of the red shades is Lincoln Rose which is a bright warm red.…Read more
Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 : Day 2 & Day 3

Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 : Day 2 & Day 3

Hello here! So happy it's a holiday today! 3-day weekends should be a permanent thing! Anyway, here's part 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 collections. It's pick of some of my favourite ones from Day 2 and 3. There was a lot of festive wear as well.  Most notable for me were Anita Dongre, Divya Seth and probably Soumitra Mondal.   Anita Dongre Day 2 ended with the Anita Dongre show which was so stunning, I really like it when work is intricate and not too heavy, this was perfect. I also…Read more
EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet

EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet

Time to review the cutest lip balm on the block. Pretty sure at some point you might have come across these and your inner child went "squeeeeee". Well, it did happen to me and I rightly purchased the EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet. The pink chubby ball is attractive in itself but thankfully, it works incredibly well too. Inside you have a dome shaped lip balm which is off white in colour and smells like strawberries. If that isn't enough for you, the formula is darn good as well. I like to…Read more
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel

It's one of my favorite lip products of 2014. Ever since I've got it, it's always been either in my bag or on my little vanity. On to the review! Clinique's Chubby Sticks are what first started the rage of lip crayons. With people complaining about the lack of pigmentation, Clinique came out with the Chubby Stick Intense range which were creamier and more pigmented than the previous offerings. Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel is one of the few nudes in the range. It's a light nude pink; I like that leans…Read more
Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 : Preview & Day 1

Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 : Preview & Day 1

Lakme Fashion week is(was) here! It’s a nice precursor to the main big 4 fashion weeks next month. In this post I’ll be covering some of the collections that I liked from the preview and Day 1. I’m so glad that this time round they also had four Pakistani designers! Zara Shahjahan designs such beautiful romantic pieces.     Amit Aggarwal Amit Aggarwal’s collection was instantly recognizable with his futuristic touch. Not sure why people kept labeling it as tribal, but for me it had that insect inspiration. The volume and sheen of the…Read more
China Glaze Frostbite Nail Polish

China Glaze Frostbite Nail Polish

It's the kind of colour that makes your heart skip a beat, shines in your eyes because it's so bright and pretty much blinds everyone else. China Glaze Frostbite is a really bright cobalt blue. The name frostbite for me indicates a icy white frosty kind of shade. But this one will do as well! It's like the poster colour blue you get in bottles with a pearlescent effect. The shimmer is a lighter blue which looks really amazing in direct light. The shimmer is not quite as complex as something like Chanel…Read more
Jouer Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet

Jouer Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet

Jouer is a relatively unknown brand but it  came into prominence on You Tube last year. A lot of their products have been raved about and I picked up the Mineral Powder Blush to try. Jouer Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet is a really pretty peachy pink. It's a powder blush with very very minute gold microshimmer that doesn't really translate well on the cheeks. You can only notice it in the pan or up close. The colour is unlike anything I have and it has a very strong coral pink tone.…Read more
Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Mystery

Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Mystery

Last week I reviewed the  Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Intrigue and now it's lighter cousin Mystery makes it's way. Mystery is a light nude pink. It's a light warm pink and has a dustiness to it. Similar to Intrigue, the lip gloss is sheer but buildable to medium. I think the shade is a good nude lip gloss for light and medium skintones. Might wash out darker ones. I have a comparison below but most of the nude lip glosses I have are much warmer and have brown in it like L'oreal…Read more
