Blog Update

It feels very odd to write here after so long, like going back to an old home or writing to an old friend you've neglected. I think my last post was in September and I'm back here nearly 5 months later. Long story short, there was a personal matter that took up a lot of my free time and more responsibilities at work and travel. I had settled into a routine that consisted of no blogging and a very rare scroll through feedly which was hard to kick. I have more time on…Read more
Handbag Review | Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Bag

Handbag Review | Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Bag

Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac was bit of a rage couple of years ago. I decided to wait on it to get mine. Once the hype died down I realised I still wanted the bag and went ahead with my purchase. I wanted a good stand out crossbody and this colour along with the hardware seemed perfect! What I love is that the gold hardware isn't too yellow, I feel like that looks very dated. This kind of paler gold looks great with the colour! This shade at the time of purchase was simply…Read more
Nyx Butter Glosses

Nyx Butter Glosses

Sometimes you just want to believe a drugstore hype! I waited till the hype died down the Nyx Butter Glosses and went ahead with the purchase anyway. I blame eBay for giving me an amazing deal. I picked out three shades - Tiramisu : Pale pink and toffee kind of shade, it's a little too light for me. I'm wearing it by itself below but I generally wear a darker lip pencil underneath so it'll suit me better. Although it is quite pigmented, since it's lighter than my lip colour, it can look…Read more
OPI Just Spotted The Lizard

OPI Just Spotted The Lizard

I feel like I'm not too excited about new nail polish collections these days. Granted, there are only so many colours and texture combinations one can make but I feel like everything's already been done. I've been content to go over my collection again and again to find shades I fall in love with. Everyone and their grandma purchased the limited edition Chanel Peridot when it came out except me because it was inaccessible at the time. Again, not a revolutionary shade, but it set a trend. Thankfully, the gold to teal duochrome…Read more

August 2015 Favourites

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a pleasant start to the weekend! After posting this I'm going to enjoy some much needed me time with a face mask and painting my nails while catching up on Made In Chelsea. I honestly don't know why I watch it. I think it's the outfits and Lucy Watson snark that draws me in. Also, my pictures turned out really dull this time round, mirroring the weather outside.   01. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in Beige 40 :: Review :: I've mentioned this many times before, but if…Read more
Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet

There's almost this sense of accomplishment you get when you find a bargain worth well beyond its value. Sadly, I often tend to lose these gems in my makeup drawer. I bought Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet a year ago, used it for a few months and forgot about it. Thankfully, my democratized monthly makeup rotation helped me rediscover it and I've been on a mission to use it up. Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paints were probably released last year. Along with Maybelline Color Tattoos it was the next great drugstore product. Among…Read more
Tom Ford Lip Color Matte in Plum Lush

Tom Ford Lip Color Matte in Plum Lush

Hey everyone! It's been a while! Hope you're all having a great weekend! I have a lot of catching up to do, I'll probably be glued to my laptop all weekend. Few lipsticks bring out such excitement in me! Plum Lush caught my eye ever since I first spotted it on Temptalia. Initially I scoffed at a lipstick costing $50. Funny how that changes. Every review of the Matte formula made the decision easier though. It was just a matter of when I'd get it. I put it off for a long time…Read more
Summer Skincare Update

Summer Skincare Update

Settle in for a long skincare post! I wrote extensively about my skincare routine a while back. It's been a few months since there are couple of new products I'm playing with. I thought I'd go over my entire routine in brief. I'm on the fence about a lot of them but they seem to be working. Warning, there's also a Pretty Little Liars rant at the end. The Bathroom Situation All my cleansing, toning, face mask products are dutifully lined up on the glass shelf in my bathroom. They're usually not so equidistant.…Read more
Guerlain Gloss D’enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss in Tangerine Vlam

Guerlain Gloss D’enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss in Tangerine Vlam

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a good weekend! Time for a lip gloss moment. Guerlain Gloss D'enfer Maxi Shine Lip Glosses had been largely out of my radar for a very long time. When the Chanel Aqualumieres were discontinued, these were touted as an "adequate" substitute and obviously, I was interested. What followed was a mad dash to get this and few other shades. I'm sorted when it comes to lip glosses. I really love these, they're my favourite high end lip gloss formula after the YSL Glossy Stains. What I look for in…Read more
Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V

Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a pleasant Monday. I mentioned in this in my skincare routine, but I was suffering from random acne on my chin that I could manage but would never fully go away. I thus came across exfoliating/acid toners and decided to purchase Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V since anyone who used it raved about it. Lotion P50V is formulated for sensitive skin as opposed to P50, which is widely used for other skin types. The other variant is P50W which is meant for mature skin. It has a watery consistency with a slight yellow tint. I…Read more
