Summer Skincare Update

Summer Skincare Update

Settle in for a long skincare post! I wrote extensively about my skincare routine a while back. It's been a few months since there are couple of new products I'm playing with. I thought I'd go over my entire routine in brief. I'm on the fence about a lot of them but they seem to be working. Warning, there's also a Pretty Little Liars rant at the end. The Bathroom Situation All my cleansing, toning, face mask products are dutifully lined up on the glass shelf in my bathroom. They're usually not so equidistant.…Read more
Guerlain Gloss D’enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss in Tangerine Vlam

Guerlain Gloss D’enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss in Tangerine Vlam

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a good weekend! Time for a lip gloss moment. Guerlain Gloss D'enfer Maxi Shine Lip Glosses had been largely out of my radar for a very long time. When the Chanel Aqualumieres were discontinued, these were touted as an "adequate" substitute and obviously, I was interested. What followed was a mad dash to get this and few other shades. I'm sorted when it comes to lip glosses. I really love these, they're my favourite high end lip gloss formula after the YSL Glossy Stains. What I look for in…Read more
Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V

Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a pleasant Monday. I mentioned in this in my skincare routine, but I was suffering from random acne on my chin that I could manage but would never fully go away. I thus came across exfoliating/acid toners and decided to purchase Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V since anyone who used it raved about it. Lotion P50V is formulated for sensitive skin as opposed to P50, which is widely used for other skin types. The other variant is P50W which is meant for mature skin. It has a watery consistency with a slight yellow tint. I…Read more
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boheme

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boheme

Hello there! Hope you're doing well! Let's talk about something completely unrelated first! My love for laser tag has reached embarrassing Barney Stinson heights. I enjoy hiding in corners and sneaking up on people. I'm not very good at close range duels though! Do you like hitting people with harmless beams too? I've spoken about my love for the Rouge Coco Shine formula when I reviewed Liberte. Here's take two! Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boheme is a sheer pink toned red, moisturising your lips all the way through the rather short 3 hour…Read more
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

You might have heard a reasonable amount of praise for The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, here's one more in the crowd. The highlighter is known best for it's universal colour, pigmentation, fine quality, glow sans sparkle and the relatively affordable price! Mary-Lou is a champagne gold colour, it's not too warm though. It translates very well on the skin as a colour that's not too cool or warm. The powder is very very fine and there's no chunky glitter or distinct shimmer, it all looks seamless. Unless you carefully it use very little, this…Read more
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils

Hello! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! Nyx Jumbo Pencils are a great effective budget option for cream eyeshadows. I have three shades with me, Black Bean, Strawberry Milk and Yogurt. Overall, these are very pigmented, creamy and easy to blend with almost no fallout. They do sheer out easily and can be layered. These crease on me after maybe 5-6 hours but personally, I love using these as a base with an eyeshadow over it. I rarely use them on their own. Black Bean : It's a matte black shade that's very…Read more

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Intense Nude

Hi everyone! I'm loving the moderate rains here, it's not too humid and it's certainly not too hot! Never change! The last couple of weeks have been busy work wise but I've been keeping myself entertained by rearranging my makeup. It's so therapeutic. I also got rid of a bit of old makeup and I have a Back to Mac trip in the works. Which lipstick should I get? Speaking of lipsticks, get settled for another review. This time it's the well loved Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Intense Nude. I…Read more
June 2015 Favourites

June 2015 Favourites

It's favourites time again! I tried to not include everything from my haul, but there's a lot from it.   01. Pai Camellia & Rose Ultra Hydrating Cleanser :: I used up my Ren Milk Cleanser and it was time to finally start using this. I'm very impressed. I like the consistency, my skin never feels too dry after using it. It's very gentle around the eyes as well. I generally use this in the mornings and second cleanse in the evening. I also love the packaging and the pump really generates the…Read more
The Peach Lip Edit

The Peach Lip Edit

So a while back, last winter, I had my sheer red lipstick phase. That's done with now. Time for peach! This is a tricky colour because if it's too light it doesn't look good on me, if it's too pink it ends up looking too coral. The best way that I've found for me to pull off peach is when it's sheer! For more opaque shades though, using a lip liner makes it more wearable. Here are my picks for peach lipsticks (and one lip gloss) that I've been loving this summer!   Time…Read more
Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop

There are  a few blushes that are in their own league, ones I'd repurchase without a second thought. This is a new addition to that! When this was released, I remember feeling excited with the promos, I knew I had to try these out. The reviews started trickling in and it was all I hoped for, I tried it myself and it's a happy marriage. :) Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop brings out the makeup romantic in me but aside from that it is a really great blush worth trying. The…Read more
