This is such a cute product! It’s the famous little round pot but now it houses a cream blush!
Bourjois launched four shades in their Cream Blush range. I’m reviewing the shade 02 Healthy Glow. It’s a light peachy apricot colour. It tends to look a little bit more peachy pink on the skin and there’s also very subtle gold shimmer running through it. I find that the shimmer is more apparent in heavy swatches but not so much after your blend it.
The colour is something that will suit both cool and warm skintones but might not show up as easily on deeper ones. But it gives a really nice peachy colour which looks very natural. It’s also a sheer blush which makes this easier to apply, less prone to blending mistakes. It can be build up to medium coverage.
The formula of this is cream to powder. The product is creamy and a bit thick when you apply it but sets to a powdery finish on the skin. It doesn’t look too powdery or completely matte though. It looks more velvety and smooths the surface in a way. This also goes well over liquid foundations, tinted moisturizer or whatever you use and really adapts well to the texture while it retains it’s finish.
The texture feels a bit heavy or thick when you first use it but it’s easy to blend and you don’t really feel it on the skin. You can use your fingers to apply but I prefer a brush, it just blends more easily.
One slight hitch though, I feel this can accentuate dry patches if you have any. Generally my face is well moisturized before I put anything but on a few occasions towards the end of the day when my skin was dry, this looked a bit too powdery. People with normal/oily/combination skin will have no such problem though.
This lasts well for about 6 hours after which it fades gradually. It’ll last you throughout the (working) day but you might need to touch up towards the end. Overall, this suits my needs very well!
I’ve carried this with me in my purse makeup bag many times. The small packaging and handy mirror makes it a good on-the-go kind of blush. I hope they come out with more shades though. These are great to travel with.
You get 2.5g of product for around Rs. 800 which is a bit expensive for the quantity. I bought this from Asos during a sale though. I haven’t really seen this in India either in store or online yet I’m not sure it’s launched yet.
