Let’s talk lipstick. One of my most prized possessions is this Burberry lipstick which is perfect to the T.
Burberry ‘Lip Cover’ Soft Satin Lipstick in Dusty Rose is from Burberry’s range of creamy hydrating lipsticks. Whilst they are similar to your Chanel, YSL in price range, they aren’t too mainstream. I think particularly when it comes to neutral shades Burberry has a really great collection for all skintones.
Dusty Rose is my kind MLBB, it’s a warm medium rose pink. Similar to Mac Cosmo, Mac Fast Play and even Chanel Mademoiselle but a touch warmer which makes it quite different for me. YSL Ultimate Beige is also more brown. I think it’s a colour that will suit most Indian skintones.
Let’s talk more about the packaging first though. It’s very iconic in incorporating the traditional Burberry stripes. I also like how large and imposing the case looks with a grey metallic finish. I also love the pattern on the bullet. With these lipsticks you are also paying quite a lot for the presentation and these lipsticks do not disappoint. It feels heavy in your hand the lid closes with that reassuring magnetic click.
Texture wise it’s not too thin or thick. It’s definitely very creamy with a glossy finish but once you apply it you don’t really feel the weight. It’s easy to forget you have anything on at all. I also like that it smoothes over the lines and makes the lips appear more even. It doesn’t make my lips feel dry either.
Being creamy, it isn’t the more long wearing lipstick but I had a comfortable 5-6 hours of wear though you can stretch it more. It does transfer and fade over time though not unevenly as more hydrating ones. It also has a very slight rose scent to it.
There are a lot of lipsticks to choose from if you want to treat yourself, I think you get something unique with Burberry looks wise.
