Butter London Nail Polish in No More Waity Kaity

Mid-week crisis is upon me and I’m lagging behind with my posts. I’m hoping things will stabilize but next weekend and I’ll be ahead of the curve rather than desperately trying to keep up with my schedule.

A very odd nail polish colour for you here. Might not be everyone’s favourite but it’s certainly unique! Butter London No More Waity Kaity has the unusual combination of lilac glitter in a grey creme base. Yes, that exactly.

The formula isn’t very opaque as I hoped it would be. It takes 3-4 sheer coats to get an even opaque look like below. It looks glossy but the glitter has a texture which comes through. A topcoat should solve that though if you prefer a smooth finish.

Unfortunately this polish chipped more easily than some of the other Butter London polishes that I’ve tried. Still, 4-5 days isn’t bad, but it isn’t stellar as I’ve come to expect from the brand.

If you like these unusual nail colours, you’ll be hard pressed to find a similar shade. What I really like about the colour is how bright the lilac is, it isn’t darkened by the grey.

You get 11ml of product for $15 (around Rs. 900) which isn’t cheap but in this case the colour makes up for it. The packaging is also really sturdy and I like the horizontal shape (similar to H&M polishes). If you’re in the US buying this from Ulta during the 2 for $15 is the best way to get your hands on them.

Thanks Melissa! It’s actually very cloudy and rainy here and I think the polish mirrors that perfectly! 😉

I like the shade but 3-4 coats? Nobody’s got time for that!

      Haha, I can understand that!
Actually, I’m very impatient with letting my nail polish dry properly, so I always do my nails when I’m watching tv. That way, I can distract my brain and let the poor topcoat dry in peace! Maybe that’s why the number of coats haven’t really been a big con to me yet. 😉

Yep, especially since there is glitter involved (it’s a pain to remove). :)

Wow that is a unique colour and I love the name too! I do like dark colours in the fall but wear them so very rarely on my fingers coz everything chips so darn fast on me..like literally a day. I haven’t tried any of the butter london ones though. .ill give it a go – thanks!

Formula wise, I’d say their creme polishes are the best. Glad you like it! :)

This is a nice color, but I never have enough patience for anything that requires more than two coats! I have been wanting to try something from Butter London for a while now. Maybe I’ll finally get one soon :)

Yes, it’s a bit time consuming to apply this but I’m always watching TV while doing my nails, so I can get away with it. :)
I’d recommend Toff and Wallis, worth a look. :)
