Carmex Cherry Lip Balm

Hello kittens! So, I was away for a few days because I was attending a wedding. I’m hoping to get the blogging tempo in full swing!

Carmex as your might know makes loads of lip moisturisers and I bought this Cherry flavoured one from Asos when it was on sale and dead cheap (like £1). Why not, right?

So in my army of lip balms I would place this at medium strength! It has a very thin consistency, it’s what you’d describe as butter like feeling. It very glossy and stays like that for 2-3 hours. This isn’t the best moisturiser if you have really chapped lips and need more healing. Rather, this is more appropriate when you need something a little less just to keep your lips from drying.

It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips or sticky. It’s very lightweight. It looks yellow in the tub but it’s colourless. This does wear off easily if you eat or drink though. If you solely rely on this, you would need to reapply it 2-3 times  a day.

It has a lovely cherry scent that I like. This also has menthol in it, you do get a slight minty scent as well. With 7.5g you get a lot of product which can last you for ages. I used this a lot this winter and also in summer when I needed it.  You can see the full ingredients list in the Checklist below.

I read about those on Gemma’s blog but I haven’t found them online… have you tried the tinted ones?

I’ve tried Carmex that comes in the pot, the stick, and the squeeze tube and they all have different consistencies (and so i’m assuming formulations too). I have perpetually chapped lips and I think the click stick Carmex (which is my holy grail lip balm) is the most moisturizing although its pretty thick and strong smelling.

Yea, this isn’t the best if you want a thick balm but it works well for warmer climates for me. I haven’t tried any other from Carmex but the stick version is what I’ll be keeping an eye on. 😉
