This is such a classic colour, I was super excited when I bought this. Chanel Rouge Coco is their range of creamy hydrating lipsticks. It’s a good lipsticks that ticks all boxes, but for me there are more long lasting and cheaper lipsticks available.
Chanel Rouge Coco is a warm dusty pink, my kinda shade! It’s a nice warm nude pink colour. If you’re around NC40 it’s a nice nude pink that won’t wash you out. If you’re lighter it’s a nice rosy pink to wear everyday. Personally, I like wearing this to office.
I find this creamy to apply, but not so much that it will slip around a lot. My lips don’t feel dry and it’s very comfortable to wear. With some creamy lipsticks you can just feel the lipstick on and in hot weather, it’s just uncomfortable. This is very light and I’m very happy with the consistency. The finish is creamy with some shine.
This wears around 4-5 hours for me. It can survive drinks and snacks although it will fade and lose its sheen. But if I’m having a big lunch, I definitely need to reapply. It fades quite evenly and doesn’t appear patchy.
The scent of the lipstick isn’t very overwhelming but there is a light floral scent.
The packaging feels very old and I’m not very fond of it. Other than that polished plastic and the heaviness, there’s nothing spectacular about it. I much prefer the Rouge Allure ones in that respect. You get 3.4g of product for $34 or around Rs. 2100.
Overall, if you like a colour from the range then it’s worth the buy as the lipstick won’t disappoint but there are better lipsticks out there. Mac Cosmo, Lancome Rouge in Love Rose Rendezvous, Bourjois Rose Delicat and Mac Fast Play are similar lipsticks.

On a side note, I started my travel blog over at travel.xuvious.com. I thought of including travel posts here but I really wanted a different look to focus on the photography and stuff; decided on going for a subdomain instead. It won’t be updated as frequently as this since it takes a long time for me to process photos and put it all together. But if you like travel/photography blogs, do check it out! ^_^
