I was going through a phase last year when I was crazy about bright pastel colours. I don’t wear them very often on my hands because I feel it doesn’t suit me. But I love lemon yellow for my toes! Not really a winter colour but sometimes I get bored of the dark colours and pop something like this on my toes.
China Glaze’s Lemon Fizz is one heck of a pretty yellow polish. Yellow is also such a trendy colour this season, I thought I’d better review this! Lemon Fizz is a true lemon yellow. It falls somewhere between light to medium yellow.
The consistency of this polish is on par with China Glaze Four Leaf Clover; very creamy but not thick. It’s thin to medium and not runny. You do need to shake this before applying to avoid the thin polish which settles on top.
It applies evenly after two coats. When you have just one it can look a bit streaky. You need another to make it look more even and smooth. Also for a really opaque look, you would need 2 coats. The finish is creamy and glossy but I feel you need a topcoat to make this look polishes. The glossiness very strong.
It stays on well for about 5 days with just minor tip wear around the edges, depends how rough you are with your hands. With a good topcoat you can make this last longer.
As always, you get 14ml for Rs. 500 which is a bit pricey but the quality is unmatched with this shade. I actually haven’t found a similar shade yet. Maybe Faces has one, but the quality just isn’t the same. So choose wisely depending on the frequency of use!
