You must excuse my lack on continuity with posts, I haven’t been keeping well lately. My very first lip gloss was from Clarins. That was almost 4-5 years ago. I’ve recently rediscovered my love for the brand. The products are well packaged, good durability and the quality is suberb! The same goes for their skincare line. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Colour Quench Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet. These glosses are sheer, with microshimmer and a corresponding fragrance as well. Mine tastes like strawberries and its so yummy!
In the tube it appears almost like an opaque red but its quite sheer and the shade is a bright pinky red with shimmer. It glides on quite easily. The gloss isn’t sticky at all but its not very light. If you put too much it might feel gloppy, so it depends on your preference. That said, it doesn’t settles into lines and stays on quite uniformly. It’s very hydrating and moisturing. While swatching I put it on without a moisturizer and it didn’t feel or look drying at all. Its also good for coating over a lipstick as it is sheer. It would brighten nude shades or soften the look of matte lipsticks. I generally stays on for 4-5 hours so I’d say its lasts as much as any other sheer gloss. It does transfer quite easily so be careful! 😉
