Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush in Nectar

This has got to be one of the cutest cosmetic items I own. It’s so light and small, very prone to getting lost in my purse but overall a pretty good blush.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush in Nectar is described as a peachy pink but honestly, on me it’s more of a light rosy pink. This supposedly also has skincare benefits, which not what I bought it for so, I can’t really review that aspect of this product.

It’s a cream blush which turns to powder and gives a matte finish. Unlike Nyx Cream Blushes, which are very creamy and look wet, this looks quite stiff in the pan. It’s actually quite creamy and blends very easily as well. As you blend, it quickly transforms to powder and gives that matte finish on the skin. People with oily skin might really like this.

It’s a sheer blush. For people with lighter skin, one layer gives a nice flush. For medium tones like mine, two layers are required and it’s very easily buildable.

Consistency wise these are similar to Bourjois or Topshop cream blushes. On the skin, it isn’t powdery or chalky. It’s visibly matte but still adheres to the skin like a cream.

I’ve used this in winters and now in the summer, despite having dry skin, this didn’t feel drying or uncomfortable. It doesn’t cling to dry patches either.

I feel like the staying power on this isn’t as good as some of the other blushes I have (mainly the powder variant). This lasts well for 4-5 hours, more consistently so if more layers are applied. This fades a bit throughout the day. If it’s going to be a long day I generally touch up midway.

The packaging is perfect for on the go. It’s extremely light, the matte plastic packaging doesn’t attract any dirt or fingerprints, it also comes with a mirror. Did I mention how tiny and cute it is? See the comparison photo below.

I think there are a bunch of different options available when it comes to cream to powder blushes. Bourjois cream blushes are better in my opinion. They last longer, similar packaging and also less expensive. I bought this during a sale at FeelUnique and got it for a much cheaper price, so I went for it. The retail $24 price (almost Rs. 1500) is a bit much though.
