I got a package from Elle 18 with some of the new products. I was very anxious to try this.
The Elle 18 Glow Foundation comes in 4 shades. Here I have it in Shell quick is a pretty alright match for me.
First off, I would really call this a foundation, it feels much more like a tinted moisturizer. A very average one.
You typically get sheer coverage which gives a natural look and can cover up some unevenness in your skintone. But I don’t like the finish if you try to build it up, it sort of sticks and accentuates problem areas. Unless of course, you have gorgeous skin, you can work well with it.
It also feels very much like a lotion when you apply it. It has a thin but creme like consistency.
I also had a bit of trouble with blending this properly. It might just be because I have dry skin though. So I applied this in dots and just started blending in circles with my fingers as usual, but I found that in certain areas it would just peel off. I then tried with a brush and did it more lightly which worked better but it would seriously come off if I tried rubbing later.
In terms of wear, it isn’t stellar. It stayed on for 3-4 hours but fades away quite quickly.
I also didn’t see any radiant or luminous effect, but I suppose if you have normal skin, the overall effect would be slightly dewy.
Overall, I’m not very impressed but it is a cheap tinted moisturiser. The packaging is cute with the plastic tube. You get 30g of product for Rs. 150.
I haven’t spotted this online anywhere yet, but you might get it in stores I suppose.
