Today I’ll be reviewing this lovely nude like colour from Essie called Buy Me A Cameo. If you like wearing nude nails then you might want to try this. I think it’s brilliant to wear to office when it’s really formal and you don’t want anything too bright.
The colour is a light peach one with a pearl finish. It can at times look a tad bit rose gold which is what drew me to it first, but it’s definitely more peachy. It’s a very creamy polish which requires 2 coats to turn opaque. The consistency of this is really good, it’s not too thin or thick.
It has a pearly metallic finish. It’s not very glossy so you might want to use a topcoat over it. This lasted really well for 5 days for me. The only problem with this is if you notice in the pictures, the polish sort of hugs the lines of you nail and accentuates them. It’s not too noticeable but if you have bumps on your nails, the polish will look very uneven. Hence, it’s best to use a filler or a basecoat if you have uneven nails.
The brush is wide which gives you more coverage in one stroke. You get about 15ml of product for around $8 ~ Rs. 500-550.
Essie is hard to get in India, it occasionally pops up on sites and gets sold out pretty quickly. If you really want this colour, I’d suggest eBay. There are a lot of reliable nail stores and you’ll also be able to get the latest collections. As for me, I bought this when I was in Europe from the counter but I have bought Essie from eBay before.
