Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Lasting Satin Lip Color in Plum 600

Hi there! It’s been exactly a month since my last post and I need to fill you in!

My best friend got married last month and it was so amazing. There was so much preparation to do, all my spare time went there. Later in the month I also had my trip to Australia so I had to get a lot of work done before I left.

The trip was lovely! I really liked Melbourne the most. Hugged the life out of every Koala bear I encountered ( just three). It was a very animal centric trip for me because that was pretty much all I was interested in. Didn’t do too much of shopping either! Yes, I fed several kangaroos. That’s one thing off my bucket list. Penguins coming up on the shore every evening was so amazing to watch, they’re adorable!

It was a great month in all but I have so much to catch up with in every other area of life right now. The lists keep getting longer! It’s nice to get back in the swing of things here on the blog as well. I really missed reading posts everyday and I’m scared to look at my Feedly right now. :p

Moving on though, this post is actually about a lipstick, a bright purple one! I fell hard for the Rouge D’Armani formula after trying Pink 512. Lightweight saturated colour which lasts long and leaves a stain, that’s my kind of comfortable formula.

Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Lasting Satin Lip Color in Plum 600 is worth it just for the colour. Quite cool toned and unconventional in the tube but it translates to purple magenta on the lips. It’s a rich colour that isn’t very fuchsia, it can look very polished with the right makeup.

The result is an even glossy lip colour that hugs your lips, doesn’t slip around too much and smooths over the lines.

Plum 600 is less creamy than Pink 512 but still very pigmented in one swipe. The consistency is very thin, you almost feel like you don’t have anything on. Another plus is that it’s very moisturising for around 5-6 hours.

It lasts well for 6-7 hours if you’re having a snack or drinks, can’t pull through an entire meal although it does leave a nice even stain behind.

The Rouge D’Armani line is a bit old now and there are a lot more options with similar formulas, but if you’re looking for a wearable purple lipstick, this is worth a look.

I adore the packaging. It’s sleek, the shape is odd, reminds be a lot of the Armani Code bottle. Love the magnetic lid, it kind of swivels and shuts close. It’s weighty but not massive like Burberry or Tom Ford. I think in the range of high end lipsticks, this features as one of my favourite formulas and is well worth the money.

You get 4g of product for $35. It’s not really available in India but you can get it from StrawberryNet.

In terms of alternatives, a cheaper option that comes real close is the Revlon Bitten Kissable stain things in Smitten. It’s a bit more pink and sheer but it can be built up to a similar colour. YSL Fuchsia in Rage comes to mind but it’s a lot more cool toned and purple.

Hope all of you are doing well! How’s your May been? ^_^

I asked them and you have to commit to atleast 12 months because there’s a lot of training involved.
I don’t think I can do it now but much later at some point I really want to. It would be such a great life experience.

Don’t bother catching up on Feedly. I tried and it was headache and stress more than anything. LOL Just start over! ;D

Yes, it looks much warmer on the lips.
I mean, I would love to spam this blog with koala photos but I’m trying my hardest not to. All my friends are pretty tired of me showing them photos ever since I’ve been back. But seriously, it’s like holding a live teddy bear… *bliss*

so glad to hear you enjoyed your time in australia! if i’d know about your plans to travel i’d have been able to recommend some cool things/places to eat etc, but from the sounds of things you had enough to keep you busy and entertained throughout your holiday anyway. :)

i got one of these armani lipsticks a month or so ago and it immediately became one of my favourite lipsticks, it’s such a gorgeous formula – i’m so surprised they don’t seem to get more attention in the blogging world. they’re fantastic!

I would have definitely loved to try more local restaurants and different cuisines but I was travelling with my parents who only eat vegetarian Indian food, so yeah… I tried all the Indian restaurants in Australia. 😉
