Givenchy Rouge Interdit Shine in Poetique Camelia
It seems ages since I did a make up review. And I have many more lined up or July. Givenchy’s Rouge Interdit Shine is its range of sheer lipsticks. I think most of these have shimmer in them.
This was gifted a long time ago so I’m not sure if this particular shade is still available or if it was part of any collection. I have it in the shade (23) Poetique Camelia which is a baby pink shade with gold and silver microshimmer. I wouldn’t say this is a true pink because it is slightly peachy. It definitely has warm undertones. The lipstick is sheer and gives a frosty but glossy finish. I feel it does enhance lines on the lips at times but that does generally happen with sheer lipsticks. I do like the fiinsh. It isn’t the kind of frosty finish that dries out the lips.
The lipstick isn’t moisturizing per se but it didn’t dry out my lips either. Either way it’s good practice to use moisturizer on your lips beforehand.
It stays on for about 4-5 hours and then fades. I should note about the microshimmer, that right away when you apply it, it does feel a bit heavy. It doesn’t bother me much but I know people prefer lighter lipsticks. You definitely get that feeling that shimmer is on your lips!
I love the packaging. How cute is that grabber? And it gives a nice click when you press it in.
I don’t think this would suit all skin tones. It would look lovely on paler skintones imo.

The swatch below is taken with flash. I just couldn’t get the right shade to show up without it. The one on the left is a single swipe and 3-4 swipes on the right.
