Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a good weekend!
Time for a lip gloss moment. Guerlain Gloss D’enfer Maxi Shine Lip Glosses had been largely out of my radar for a very long time. When the Chanel Aqualumieres were discontinued, these were touted as an “adequate” substitute and obviously, I was interested. What followed was a mad dash to get this and few other shades. I’m sorted when it comes to lip glosses.
I really love these, they’re my favourite high end lip gloss formula after the YSL Glossy Stains. What I look for in a lip gloss above everything else is comfort, a great colour on it’s own or when layered and a decent lasting power. This does it all.
If there’s one shade worth it from this range, it’s Tangerine Vlam. While it looks more of an orange red in the tube, it’s a yellow toned orange packed with pink and gold microshimmer that doesn’t look tacky or feel gritty.
It’s sheer but applies evenly, really smooths over lines and looks very glossy with two layers. It can also be built up to medium coverage. The underlying lip colour does change the appearance though. It’s very light and non sticky with a bit of tact so it stays relatively put and won’t slip around the edges.
These last for about 5 hours with no eating/drinking but realistically I’d say 3 if you were snacking. It’s a joy to use because it’s hydrating and so comfortable on the lips. As the colour fades, the shimmer is left behind.
The packaging is very pretty and sleek! You get a narrow doe foot applicator that makes it easy to go around the edges and corners. You get 7.5ml of product for $30 or around Rs. 1750.
