I was looking for bronzey neutral shades that I didn’t have. I also wanted a blue based red lipstick and Ruby Woo seems so out of reach. I decided to buy Revlon’s True Red.

I decided to give MedPlusBeauty a try. I’ll start by saying that I’m pleased with the haul and the website. But the way they handle delivery is atrocious! And I probably won’t buy again from MedPlus because of it. More on the story below, I’ll start with the goodies!

MedPlusBeauty.com Review

The site itself is great. Has lots of choices and compared to its peers, has better discounts and stock. It’s easy to navigate. Swatches are quite different, but you should never rely on those anyway. I always google swatches first.

My order was dispatched in 3-4 days but the journey from Mumbai to my possession took almost 2 weeks! Aramex had delivered the package in a day. The tracker said that it was stamped and delivered. It wasn’t signed by anybody. I had received no package!!! And I had no idea where it was posted to! I first contacted MedPlus and they told me to contact Aramex and said that it wasn’t their problem since they had dispatched it.

I contacted Aramex who got back to me after a few days and sent me the invoice. Apparently, MedPlus had posted the package to their own office in Pune!! Yea, that one shocked me too. I’m not even going to begin to comprehend how a website can post a package to itself and not even inform the customer that they made a mistake! Eventually, I had to take out time to visit their office (which is a medical shop). My package was in a flimsy plastic bag and was given back to me after going through my bill.

The entire process is just too much of a hassle and I doubt I’ll shop there again unless I read stellar reviews everywhere. Mine could be just a one off case but even so, MedPlus should have taken more responsibility in checking the package details rather than just blaming it on Aramex.
