This isn’t a happy review. When I bought this shampoo I desperately looked for a shampoo with a green apple/ citrus scent. I walked in Dorabjee’s and this the first one I spotted, smelt it and I was sold. This is a probably a good lesson and how to not buy a product.
I lot of the problems that I had with this I didn’t fully realise until I stopped using it and suddenly they were all gone. So bear with me, this might be a bit too rambly.
The Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing shampoo is from it’s cleaning range. This does contain SLS and I think that was part of the problem.
The consistency of this is like a gel. It’s a translucent green shampoo. For me, probably it’s only redeeming quality now is the smell which is absolutely perfect for summers. It has a green apple and a tad bit of citrus like scent.
So I have a really dry scalp and since this shampoo is so strong, my hair fall situation worsened. It was winter time when I was using this and that’s generally when I face more hair fall. I didn’t attribute it to this shampoo until I switched to the Tresemme one and saw that the hair fall had drastically reduced.
Now I’m not saying the shampoo is bad in itself, it should probably only be used if you have a really oily scalp and very healthy hair. It does a good job of making the hair feeling super clean without needing a second wash.
But this strong a shampoo is probably not good for most people and hence the bad rating.
I would never use this again because it just doesn’t suit my hair type.
That said, there are plenty in the Herbal Essences range and would be best to read up on them before trying (unlike me!!!). You get 355ml for Around 150 bucks which is an absolute bargain.
