The past month I’ve been sticking to very muted and everyday colours. I discovered a brilliant lip combo that I cannot stop using and some old favourites which need another mention.
July favourites :
01. Moisturizer : Forest Essentials : Night Treatment Cream : Sandalwood and Saffron
This smells heavenly! This isn’t the thickest cream I’ve used but it keeps me hydrated all night. I also use it in the morning sometimes id I’ve been lazy with my night routine and my skin is too dry.
02. Nail Polish : Sally Hansen : Pacific Blue
I picked up two Sally Hansen polishes a month a go (other one being Virtual Violet). It’s just a bright and happy colour. I’ve been loving this on my toes!
03. Nail Polish : Max Factor : Dazzling Blue
This is a very fancy looking duochrome polish. It has a metallic kind of finish with a cyan minty green duochrome. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
04. Nail Polish : Essie : Buy Me a Cameo
I was looking for a rose gold shade and while this isn’t that exactly, it still looks amazing with my skintone. It’s a peachy metallic polish which is so perfect for me for officewear. It’s subtle because of the colour but also glam enough for evening.
05. Lip Gloss : Clarins : Instant Light Lip Perfector Collection : Rosewood Shimmer
This is a very sheer lip gloss that’s very light eight and also immensely hydrating. It just adds a nice warm to my lips. I believe this will also work for very pigmented lips and give them a more even look. Rosewood Shimmer is a browny pink shade.
06. Eye Liner : Maybelline : Kohl Express
I’ve mentioned this before, but with my Mac liner lost, I’ve been going back to this a lot. It stays on for ages and also waterline safe.
07. Lipstick : Burberry : Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick : Dusty Rose
So I was rather naughty and splurged on this! Dusty Rose is a very pretty reddy brown that’s perfect for everyday and going out. It’s a mature looking shade but I really wanted a shade that I could also wear everyday. It’s very moisturizing and lasts pretty well.
08. Lipstick : Lakme : Enrich Satin Lipstick : 129
This is a cult favourite of many I’m sure. I’m not too pleased with the smell though! But I love wearing this and the Clarins lip gloss on top. It’s a newly discovered lip combo that I love.
09. Concealer : Mac : Studio Sculpt Concealer : NW40
The sides of my nose (near the bridge) is very I need to conceal veins a the heaviest portion of discolouration. NW40 is very orange and darker than my skintone but it evens put that portion really well. Sometimes I just pop this on there and go out.
10. Concealer : Bobbi Brown : Corrector : Peach
So my actual undereyes are slightly less darker than what I mentioned above and I’ve been using this corrector a lot. It’s a very peachy yellow colour that’s thin in consistency and very easy to blend.
11. Blush : Elizabeth Arden : Cream Blush : Nectar
How cute is the packaging?! I just adore it! The cream blush in the shade Nectar is a rose pink and very easy to apply. It’s also very buildable. I love using this everyday on the go and it’s small enough to carry with in the purse.
12. Highlighter : Mac : Cream Color Base : Improper Copper
This cream base is similar to Rubenesque in colour but perfect for highlighting. I’m guessing this can also be used as an eyeshadow but I’ve never tried it that way. It gives a nice gold sheen.
13. Face Mask : L’occitane : Instant Hydration Mask (sample)
I got a few samples of this when I bought a shampoo and conditioner from L’occitane. This smells amazing! It’s a gel kind of mask which also gets absorbed into the skin. Very similar to the Fabindia Aloe Vera one in that respect. Although, this one feels a bit milder and doesn’t sting as much.
So, those are mine for the past month! Let me know what you’ve been loving all month! ^_^
