Mac’s Big Bounce shadows are limited edition from the Flighty Collection and I grabbed Black Diamond at Heathrow. At first I thought this would be a glossy eye shadow. It’s consistency is quite different from paint pots. It’s more gel-like than creamy, although you wouldn’t define it as one. I’d say it were a thick gloss with microshimmer that dries to a powdery finish. It doesn’t appear completely matte when it dries, but not glossy either.
This creases very easily so using just this on the lid is pointless. You need to set it with powder for it to last. The colour is more towards charcoal. Its a dark grey base with blue and silver shimmer. However, a sheer coat appears cement grey after application. As you can see in the swatch, it looks quite opaque while applying but it does get lighter as it dries. However, the coverage is buildable.
I don’t think I would buy this again, mainly because the finish isn’t as good as I expected it to be. It’s so sheer and light. You might as well use a powder eye shadow. The shadow by itself doesn’t last too long though.
