Swimming is part of Mac’s permanent collection of eye shadows. It’s a grassy green with tiny gold shimmer. A lot of the shades online show a very bright yellowish green but in reality it’s more muted and mossy. It isn’t a very bright in your face green, so it’s easier to work with. It looks beautiful when used with with violets and darker colours.
The color pay off is really good. It applies really well with a brush on the lid. When swatched on the hand, it doesn’t show up with the same intensity. It lasts well for 8-9 hours and then starts to fade. It lasts even longer when used with a primer. It blends well and shimmer is smooth too. It doesn’t feel rough though. The fallout is also very minimal which usually only occurs while blending. It’s best to pat this on the lid for better intensity and longer wear.
At 1.5g you get a good amount of product. I won’t comment on whether the price is appropriate but it’s rare to find consistency with eye shadows within a brand. Mac certainly has it’s place in being on of the best. With swimming, you do get the quality you pay for. When it doesn’t to mac eye shadows, it’s also cheaper to buy the refill pans. It’s almost 300 Rs. cheaper! I currently have this in a 4-pan mac palette.
