Usually, when I go into Mac I have a specific list of things I want to try/buy. I once found myself in an empty Mac with no particular idea of what I wanted. I took my time swatching and perusing everything, looking at products I didn’t already know the names of, till I landed my eyes on this!
As far as blushes go, after a lot of experimentation, “my” colour is definitely earthy and muted. Mac Pinch Me is a lovely earthy mix of brown and red. It’s a ‘Sheertone’ blush, sheer pigmentation with a matte finish.
I still use a light hand with this, for a sheer blush it’s very pigmented in one swipe. It blends so well! It kicks up quite a bit of fallout in the pan but none of that powdery mess on the cheeks. It looks amazing!
Another win for the formula, it lasts ages! After 8 hours it’s still perfectly intact and hardly faded. It also meshes really well with whatever base (or not) you’re wearing and looks very natural.
I initially felt Clinique Ginger Pop would be similar but it’s a lot more pink while Pinch Me is more red/orange. Nars Gilda on the other hand looks very similar in the pan but it’s a tinge lighter than Pinch Me.
You get 6g of product for $22 or Rs. 1350. It’s still a lot for a blush but the formula and colour is worth it.
