Hope you are all having a nice friday! Best day of the week!! ^_^
Maybelline’s Colorsensational Moisture Extreme Lipsticks seem to have become quite obscure and taken the back seat against all the new brands and launches. But for the longest time these were the best to buy and that enormous colour range made it even more likeable. I have a colour here that qualifies as my first orange lipstick!
Bronze Orange is a very unique burnt orange or terracotta like colour. For Indian skin tones, it’s really flattering and works well with very deep skintones as well. I doesn’t look too brown which is what I like about it, it’s more peachy. I had bought this when my lipstick collection was more modest and this was a great mixing colour to use. This + hot pink gives a vibrant coral shade that looks amazing. It’s one of my favourite combos.
The formula of the Moisture Extreme lips is amazing. Very creamy, very pigmented. You get opaque coverage with just one swipe. They are really creamy and glide on beautifully. They do have some slip so overapplying can cause issues. But apart from that they are extremely hydrating.
These transfer easily but they do stay on if your eating/drinking is minimal. They last easily for 6 hours. I also like how smooth and even they look on the lips, they don’t accentuate the lines or become patchy as it fades overtime.
It’s excellent value for money! Rs. 220 for 4.2g of product. The old Moisture Extreme lipsticks had a plastic packaging but the new ones have a matte finish which is much better. These aren’t the sturdiest lipsticks but for the price I don’t mind. These are likely to melt a bit if you live in really hot climates, so keep them in the fridge for a while! 😉
