Models Own is a brand that I stumbled across at Asos. I read their reviews and was curious to try their eye shadows and nail polishes. Their loose powder is the first one I ever owned. The shade Deep Mauve is a stunning blue based purple with microshimmer. The pigmentation is AMAZING and the coverage is so opaque, with just one stroke.
Its not really a deep mauve. Over the lid, it comes off as a bright purple. The shimmers are blue, violet and silver mixed together, hence it also gives a blue based appearance. My only peeve is that the fall out is quite horrendous. The packaging is a glass round pot with plastic top. Its quite sturdy and cute but you have to always make sure its tight enough.
This was my first experience with loose powders and honestly, I don’t like dealing with them. I have to be careful and too much product is wasted. But thats just my preference. But as a loose powder, I highly recommend this. I got this discounted from Asos.com and it was about £5. With 3.5g of product, its worth the money.
Photos and swatches below! I wanted to give a good representation of the colours, hence I’ve divided it into 3 sections. The swatches on the left are with primer and on the right are without it. As you can see, there is virtually no difference! It’s THAT pigmented.
