Nars Lovejoy Blush

On one of my starwberryNet hauls, I picked  up the Nars blush Lovejoy. It was colour I didn’t have and I was anxious to see how it would turn out.

I love blushes that have microshimmer in them, ones with a nice sheen. Matte blushes (many of them) look quite powdery on me and ones with sheen I can get away with a nice subtle colour.

Lovejoy is brick red but still orange can of colour. Another way of describing it would be red brown but with fine gold microshimmer. It casts a really nice and subtle gold sheen. The colour shows up on the skin as a deeper pink but on paler skintones it would look much warmer.

The blush is really pigmented. I have a tendency to gravitate towards sheer blushes but I loved this colour so much. You have to use a real light hand while applying this for a natural look otherwise it can turn up looking too intense.

The quality and formula of the blush is amazing. Its very soft and the gold shimmer does not feel rough at all. In fact you can barely see the gold except under some lighting conditions or flash when you blend it nicely.

This also lasts really well. I wore it for the entire working day and it still looked amazing when I was home. I’d say about 7 hours with minor fading.

For deeper skintones, I think Lovejoy is a really beautiful blush to own if you want a warmer, or more red-orange kind of look.

I’m very happy with my purchase. As usual, my only gripe with Nars is that their packing gets dirty far too quickly. But the case is compact and comes with a mirror as well.

You get about 4.8 g of product for around Rs. 1800. StrawberryNet has discounts very frequently so you can grab this for less if it’s available at the time.
