Hello! Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
Nyx Jumbo Pencils are a great effective budget option for cream eyeshadows. I have three shades with me, Black Bean, Strawberry Milk and Yogurt.
Overall, these are very pigmented, creamy and easy to blend with almost no fallout. They do sheer out easily and can be layered. These crease on me after maybe 5-6 hours but personally, I love using these as a base with an eyeshadow over it. I rarely use them on their own.
Black Bean : It’s a matte black shade that’s very pigmented. This is excellent to use as a base as it’ll make any coloured eyeshadow over it pop. So beautiful to use with blues and purples.
Strawberry Milk : This is probably my least used out of the three here. A frosty baby pink, there’s no depth to the shimmer here and it’s very reflective. I just don’t like this colour on me.
Yogurt : This is a champagne gold shade which again, doesn’t have a lot of depth in terms of shimmer but it is very pretty. Super easy to blend and I generally use this on my inner corner as a highlight.
As a base these are very easy to use and they do last all day, definitely over 8 hours. However, after the initial blending stage, these do not set completely, they still smudge albeit not a lot.
I bought these a long time ago, they’re not used as much compared to some of the other cream eyeshadows I have (except Black Bean). But I think I bought a set of three for $6, there was a crazy sale Cherry Culture and so I don’t really mind it.
I’d say these are worth buying for colours you might not use very often, they do have a lot of colourful options which can also be used as liners. Shades like Black Bean and Milk (a matte white) make exceptional bases to intensify eyeshadows.
These retail for $4.5 each with 5g of product. In India you get these for Rs. 425. But seriously, get these from eBay or Cherry Culture if you’re buying more than one or two, it’ll be much cheaper.
