I got this lipstick when I was in my pale lips phase. Mac Viva Glam II is a satin finish and its goes on so smooth and feels so creamy! It’s not my favourite shade but I use this when I want even bare lips and a bright gloss over it to stand out. It’s part of the permanent line I believe. Its a lovely ash pink or beige pink. It has very subtle shimmer that is barely noticeable. I would say it’s similar to Blankety.
I wore this for 10 hours and it stayed put, so its a good long lasting lipstick. The satin finish is incredibly moisturing but I would still recommend applying a moisturizer before hand. It would make the finish more glossy. Without it though, the finish is dewy and doesn’t dry up. If worn opaque, it can wash you out and with spring coming on, it looks better with it bright gloss over it. It has the lovely anilla fragrance that MAC lipsticks have.
For me, it evens out my lips when I apply it sheer. So I also tend to wear this when I want a ‘I have something yet nothing’ look. I didn’t know it at the time but Mac donates money from the Viva Glam lipsticks to organisations helping women and children with HIV and Aids.
I think you should think twice before purchasing this because its not a colour that would suit everyone, especially when opaque. It’s not a must have but if you feel you need it for specific looks then its a good shade to have in your collection. On to the checklist then!
