If anyone made a Revlon lip butter rehab, I’d be the first one to sign up. Clearly I have a problem. But fortunately, this the last one I own and to be reviewed!
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya was released along with Wild Watermelon and was a very unlikely pick for me. It’s a very light peachy pink, leaning more on the peachy side. Compared to the swatch or tube colour, this looks quite different on my lips but I love it. It translates as a very warm light pink which surprisingly doesn’t wash me out! I feel like the name always perfectly describe the shade with lip butters.
This one is sheer and although you can’t build it up to a completely opaque finish, you can build it up to the point where it looks even across your lips. If you have chapped lips, it might accentuate it though, so it’s better to use a moisturiser first and this over it.
As always, I love how the lip butters look on my lips and this one is no different. It’s smooth, even and glossy. It’s very hydrating on the lips and comfortable to wear because the consistency is so light. My lips feel very soft throughout the day.
It doesn’t last a terribly long time, around 3-4 hours including drinking. If you don’t mind retouching 2-3 times a day, it’s good to carry around with you.
The packaging is very adorable in that smoked out plastic cover. But with just 2.55g of product, Rs.600 is a bit much. I couldn’t find this shade online in Indian stores so I bought this from eBay. But hopefully, it’s available now.
