I’m back with a lipstick review. I had a busy weekend and no sleep! I want this week to get over already!
I’m reviewing the Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach which is a true peachy shade with silver pearlescent bits. Most colours of this shade can look a bit more pink on me but this distinctly maintains it’s peach tone. So, very true to the name!
I didn’t find this on par with True Red in terms of formula though. It’s a lightweight creamy formula but the pigmentation is sheer to medium. It takes 4-5 swipes to get the colour in the swatches. It’s still very pretty though, sometimes I like using it just sheer.
The shimmer doesn’t leave a gritty feeling and is noticeable only up close. What I don’t like is that it tends to cling to dry bits and lines. It doesn’t fade well and settles into lines after the first hour or two. I can get a comfortable 3 hours of wear with this without eating or drinking. It does transfer easily and hence, not the best if you’re looking for something long wearing.
This isn’t a hydrating lipstick in particular, but my lips don’t feel dry either.
Overall, I really like the colour and I mainly wear this for a short duration, but it’s not a big favourite of mine especially in winters when my lips can be more dry.
I packaging feels a bit old now but it’s actually very nice and sturdy. I also like that it shows the shade colour on top. You get 3.7g of product for Rs. 600.
