Time for another nail polish review! I really like collecting unique nail polishes, this one really caught my eye when I was going through ebay.
Sinful Colors is a brand that makes very very affordable polish at $1.99. Their range is huge, competing with OPI and China Glaze; you can also find a lot of dupes! Despite the price, they are free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP which is another win!
Going back to the review, here’s the shade Gilded. So, it has red and gold glittery bits in a clear but slightly milky base. It looks so lovely! It has gold microshimmer which is more dense and then the red glitter is slightly bigger but not chunky. It just reminds me of confetti or decoration. I also like that the gold isn’t too yellow.
It is a sheer polish but it’s very much possible to get a full opaque look if you apply enough coats. All photos below are with 2 coats and it’s halfway through. The gold is a lot more prominent in person and it looks so beautiful when it catches the light. The red glitter gives off pink to deep red colours which is very pretty as well.
The polish isn’t too thick nor thin. It glides nicely and the glitter is dispensed evenly. There can be some pooling at the edge but you can use different techniques to avoid that. It also takes a very long time to dry so that’s probably the only con.
The finish isn’t very glossy so a topcoat will really make it look more polished. This lasts a good week on me with only tipwear and no major chipping.
At $1.99 (around Rs. 120) for 15ml which is full size, you really can’t be asking for more. This is perfect! The packaging isn’t flimsy. It feels very much similar to China Glaze or OPI, just a different bottle shape. The brush is also medium width which is quite alright.
This used to be available on Cherry Culture but they don’t seem to have a large collection anymore. The best place to get these are eBay. You can check out my ebay shopping guide to find sellers and stuff since I buy most of my nail polish from there. Also in general, if you’re trying to build a collection on the cheap, definitely look into Sinful Colors.
Finally, this isn’t a dupe for it but it is similar to China Glaze Electrify. I suppose the CG one has a more yellow toned gold and glitters are bigger.
