The monsoons are properly here! That makes me a happy bunny!
Today I’ll be reviewing Stila’s Lip Glaze in the shade Kitten. I got this with the Merry & Bright Palette. The shade Kitten is a cult favourite. Originally in eyeshadow form, it’s a warm peach shimmer and really beautiful. In a lip gloss form, it’s a great layering shade and also pretty on its own if you don’t mind a ton of shimmer.
Lip Glaze is basically a lip gloss but these come with a pen like packaging, similar to YSL Touche Eclat. The applicator is a synthetic brush and you need to twist the bottom which will push the liquid out. The mechanics of this works quite well. You have to twist a couple of times when you use it for the first time. After that, with just 2-3 twists you get enough product.
The lip glaze is sheer but also buildable upto medium. I’m actually not too fond of the formula, for me it’s very sticky and heavy on the lips. The lasting power is also average at 3-4 hours without any food or drink. One good thing is that while taking it off, the shimmer doesn’t spread everywhere.
Overall, I feel it’s an okay lip gloss. The colour is really unique here but otherwise I feel it’s not worth the $22 price tag considering how little product you get (2.3ml). If you do plan on buying lip glazes, Stila brings out sets during the holidays which are great value for money, definitely look into those.
