I was looking for a body scrub that was also moisturizing and not too harsh. I chose The Body Shop’s Shea Body Scrub. It was the perfect buy for winter! I used this up a long time ago, but I still had the pictures so I thought I might as well review it.
Unlike most body scrubs I’ve used, this one really does moisture the skin 10x. I don’t feel the need to put on moisturizer after my shower when I use this, it makes the skin very supple and it lasts atleast half the day. This scrub has a lot of shea butter in it. When you first touch it, you will be overwhelmed with how creamy and soft it is or you might find it too slippery. It isn’t thin or runny, it’s creamy but more buttery I’d say.
This also smells amazing. If you love the shea butter smell then you will definitely like this. The actual exfoliant is not too harsh on the skin but not the softest. If you rub very hard, you will end up scratching or just making the area more pink. The scrub can appear very chunky but it breaks down into smaller pieces as you use it.
This is perfect for those with dry skin to use in winters. I wouldn’t really recommend it to people with oily skin, because maybe you’d generally use a lighter moisturizer or may not like the consistency of of this. Give it a try before buying.
