What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

On my review posts I’m always talking about how travel friendly products are etc. Since I spent the better half of last month doing just that, I thought I’d do a ‘What’s in my purse’ instead of the usual monthly favorites!

Let’s dig in!

Whats in my bag - travel edition 1

I mainly carried 3 bags. The red one with two transparent sides was for keeping makeup. I kept the products on one side and the brushes on the other. The pink one was also kept in my luggage and it contained skincare stuff, perfume etc. And lastly, the gorgeous purple print bag is what I kept in my handbag. I was also flying a lot, so this had to pass multiple security checks. Hence, I kept it very basic and minimal.

Above, is my luggage skincare pouch (the pink one). One thing I’ve forgotten to include is the sunscreen, I used the Neutrogena one. Anyway, here are the contents –

01. Face Moisturizer : La Roche-Posay : Hydraphase Intense Rich Intensive Rehydrating Skincare

It’s so moisturising but also very light. Since I was travelling to a hot and humid place, this was great and the packaging is very sleek and convenient.

02. Perfume : Chanel : Chance

It’s the 50ml version which is easy to carry and it’s a perfect floral scent for summer.

03. Body Lotion : Bath & Body Works : Sea Island Cotton

This is a great lightweight body lotion, the scent is one of the milder ones in the B&BW range.

04. Spot Corrector : La Roche-Posay : Effaclar A.I.

Right before I left, I had an awful breakout on my chin, had to take this along with me to keep it under control.

05. Makeup Remover : The Body Shop : Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

I actually got this from my mom, not sure where she got it. It’s the travel size version and it was perfect. I really like the camomile scent while removing makeup, it was very soothing. Otherwise it worked really well.

Next up, contents of my main makeup bag. I mainly opted for nude lipsticks.

01. Eyeshadow Palette : Stila : Merry & Bright Palette

I love this palette, the colours and quality are great. It’s also very sleek! The little pink at the bottom is a cream blush but I didn’t really use it.

02. Blush : Tarte : Amazonian Clay Blush : Exposed

I’m not sure why I took two blushes with me, in hindsight I would have been fine with just one! Exposed is a lovely nude blush which makes  a great everyday colour. It’s one of my most used blushes.

03. Blush : Clinique : Cheek Pop Blush : Ginger Pop

Ginger Pop is a new favourite of my and more peachy than Exposed. It’s just so cute!

04. Concealer : Mac : Select Moisture Cover : NW35

I just took this concealer with me. I wasn’t into any heavy duty stuff. This is light and one layer doesn’t completely hide my dark circles but brightens the area considerably. I’m ok with that.

05. Lipstick : Mac : Mocha

I love this brown terracotta colour lipstick. I also like that it was a semi matte kind of finish, looks very polished.

06. Lip Crayon : Clinique : Chubby Stick Intense : Curviest Caramel

This was my main go to shade except when I didn’t have time to get ready. The colour is a perfect nude for me.

Whats in my bag - travel edition 4

Lastly, here’s what I carried in my purse with me everyday! I also had a to lug around a huge camera so I didn’t want this to take up too much space. I kept it very minimal. And that’s my favourite blue comb.

01. Powder : Dior : Diorskin Nude Compact Nude Glow : Apricot Beige

This was a quick last minute purchase before my trip. It provides sheer coverage, looks very natural and keeps with face matte. I also love the packaging. It can be used as a mirror and I like the brush it comes with as well. I don’t need to carry a large fluffy brush. I didn’t carry any tinted moisturizer or foundation with me. I don’t really care for that when I’m travelling. Concealer, powder on top and I’m done.

02. Eyeliner : Mac : Technakohl Liner : Graphblack

Of course, you can’t go anywhere without an eyeliner. My trusty Mac Technakohl came with me as well.

03. Lip Balm : Nivea

When I’m out in the sun, I tend to get inflamed lips, so this keeps it calm.

04. Lipstick : Revlon : Lip Butter : Pink Truffle

One of my all time favourite lipsticks. This gives lovely sheer/medium coverage and looks glossy. The colour is a nice rosy pink which suits me well.

05. Moisturizer : Avene : Rebalancing Soothing Emulsion

This is a very light moisturizer, which absorbs very quickly as well. It’s perfect for humid weather or if you have oily skin.

Hope you guys liked this post! Let me what your favourites for the month are! ^_^

Even categorize my travel kits like that. Skin care separately and makeup separately. You have really carried the bare minimum. Kudos to that.

I less I carry, the more space I get to keep my shopping! That was the main goal! 😉
