February 2015 Favourites

My idea of getting through the work midweek is making plans for the weekend! It's all decided, I'm going to be cooped up in my room watching the rest of House of Cards. All I want is Robin Wright's wardrobe! Meanwhile, you can take a peek at what I've been loving the past month. This is going to be a long favourites post! I think it's the first one for 2015. Let's just jump in!   01. Guerlain Gloss D'enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss in Candy Strip :: I haven't reviewed this gloss yet…Read more

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Bronze

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Bronze

Hey guys! Hope you're week is going well! I'm super busy and tired these days. I know I just took a break last month but I need another! One of my 2014 favourites was this CC cream which I use as my everyday base.  Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Bronze great lightweight base if you don't like wearing foundation. I actually find it somewhere in between a foundation and a tinted moisturizer. It's available in four shades and I'm using the darkest one. It's a little bit darker than Mac C4. I think it…Read more
Lorac PRO Palette

Lorac PRO Palette

Yes, I'm finally reviewing this. You've probably heard all praises about this already. Time to hear it all just once more. Let's start with the basics. You get 16 eyeshadows which include 8 mattes and 8 shimmer shades.  Should keep everyone happy! Excellent colour selection which would work on all skintones. Also a good mix of warm and cool toned shades without being too extreme. The consistency is very buttery smooth. It almost feels creamy when you touch them. I find them creamier than the Urban Decay eyeshadows and the L'oreal Infallible ones.…Read more
YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch in Luminous Honey

YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch in Luminous Honey

When it comes to concealer, I've rarely strayed from the my power duo (Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach and Mac Moisture Select in NW35). Curiosity and hype got the better of me when I purchased this. YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch in Luminous Honey (5) is a concealer/brightener/highlighter all wrapped up in a pen. I'm going to specifically talk about using this as a concealer. The shade is a little more orange than my skin tone but I figured that would help with colour correction. The other shades were too pink or way off for…Read more
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Liberte

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Liberte

Nothing really motivates me to wake up (early) on a Sunday. One of the exceptions in an India vs Pakistan match! Okay, it wasn't quite the I'm-choking-my-pillow-to-death, down to the wire kind of match I was hoping for, but soooo happy we won! Overall, Valentine's day and an India win made the weekend pretty great! That brings me to the downer that is Monday! Hopefully, writing about this lipstick will be enough to cheer me up to face the day! After my success with Mademoiselle, I was more open to trying Chanel lipsticks. All it took was…Read more
The February 2015 Fab Bag!

The February 2015 Fab Bag!

I have a love hate relationship with beauty boxes. While I always wanted to try the Glossy Boxes of the world, in reality, I just ended up with a bunch of minis I didn't use. On the other hand I loved using those pretty boxes for storage! I have reviewed a few beauty boxes a long time ago. I think FabBag used to be Vellvette and I thought I'd review one this month. It's been a while! The February 2015 Fab Bag*  is centered around the date night theme! Overall, I think it has a…Read more
Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream

Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream

I've been a moisturizer  hopper ever since I started the blog. While I've found good lightweight moisturizers for the summer/travelling (Avene Smoothing Rebalancing Emulsion), when it comes to winter I still haven't found the one. Here's the latest one I've tried. Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream was on my wishlist for a long time. I really wanted to try the brand and the day cream,  it generally had great reviews, seemed like the safest option. Did the deed when I had a voucher on FeelUnique. The minute you open it up, the first thing…Read more
Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

Hi guys! I'm having a rough week and I really need to sleep more. It's just one of those days where I want to curled up in my blanket all day. Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask as you might guess is a cleansing mask. I've been using this for around 5 months now and here's how it's been. I know most people love this product but I haven't had a great experience with it. Firstly, I have dry skin so it's probably a bit too much for me. It's partly my fault because…Read more
Essie Splash of Grenadine Nail Polish

Essie Splash of Grenadine Nail Polish

Hi guys! Hope you're all having a great start to the week! I have a Sephora Pune update at the end of the post but for now let's try to focus on this gorgeous spring appropriate nail polish! Essie Splash of Grenadine is such a difficult colour to describe. Pinky purple? Lavender pink? Very very cool toned light pink? I'm going to settle for #D384C4. It's also hard to photograph exactly which is why I have it below in all possible natural light settings. Maybe we can all just agree that it's pretty.…Read more
