I’ve said this before, it’s a galaxy in a bottle. I first came across this nail polish on Karen’s blog and I was blown away. I knew I had to have it.
I scoured the net for it and finally managed to pick it up when I was abroad. I was a bit concerned because it costs 27 freaking dollars and I don’t rate other Chanel nail polishes that highly. The cream formulas in general just seem very streaky. But luckily, this one turned out to be quite good.
I’m not sure what collection this is a part of but Taboo is a shimmer polish in a darkened purple base. Suspended in that you have bright blue, bronze and red violet shimmer. I think it looks a lot more red based in the...
Hope you guys had a great weekend! Best to start off this week with a bit of wishful thinking! This is a more realistic wishlist for me because there are a few products that I might actually end up buying.
01. Origins : Face Mask : Drink Up 10 Minute Mask
Heard a lot of good stuff about this mask, might actually buy this. It’s a good hydrating mask.
02. Clinique : Blush : Cheek Pop Blush : Ginger Pop
I want these, hope they release soon in India. Ginger Pop looks like a perfect everyday blush.
03. Dior : Face Powder : Diorskin Nude Compact : Apricot Beige
I’m on the market for a new face powder. Should be light, little spf, a nice mirror, sturdy...
Hey guys! I had a very hectic week and now I’m just looking forward to relaxing and blogging this weekend!
Also, Happy Women’s Day! At the very least we get to enjoy sales on this Saturday. I did a tiny bit of shopping on FeelUnique since they’re having 15% discount store wide! ^_^
Rimmel have a nice range of moderately priced nail polishes. This one is from the 60 Seconds line and called Coral Crush. It’s a really nice colour for summer!
As the name suggests, Coral Crush is a mix of pink and orange, a good coral shade. It feels slightly duochrome as it shifts between a few shades of orange and pink depending on the lighting. It’s also a bit pearlescent which...
Hey guys! Is it raining in your city? I swear it’s been raining atleast once a month since October! It’s insane, but I’m not complaining! ^_^
Here are my favourites for Feb and Jan 2014! To be honest, this is a small favourites post because most of the things I’m using I’ve already covered multiple times in other posts!
01. Exfoliant : Dermalogica : Gentle Cream Cleanser
I’ve already reviewed it but it’s a really good chemical exfoliant. Love this!
02. Moisturizer : Korres : Wild Rose 24hr Moisturising Cream
This is very rich cream. I used this and the Clarins one in winter. You need a really tiny bit for this to...
I haven’t done one of these posts for a long time, my first one for the new year!
2014 has been incredible so far! I’ve already travelled so much and there’s more to look forward to! Here I have the pretty umbrellas from the Jaipur Literaure Festival! I post more stuff like this on Instagram.
Link Love – Books
01. The Northern Clemency by Philip Henser – He’s such a well spoken and hilarious author. The book is exactly that! I’m still reading it but I really like it so far.
02. Justice : What’s the Right Thing To Do? by Michael J. Sandel – He’s a Harvard faculty member. It’s a non fiction book about economics...
Hey guys! So excited for this post, the colours are crazy!
Milani is a really underrated brand, this have great quality stuff for very reasonable and cheap prices. One of their better products are the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks. They are all hydrating (some more than others) and pigmented lipsticks with varying finishes. I haven’t worn them enough to review them but I thought I’d share the colours. You can let me know which ones you want me to review first! Also, a lot of them are dupes for other lipsticks! ^_^
01. High Voltage (04) – Creamy – It’s a bright warm red. There’s a lot of orange in there, certainly one of the brighter ones I’ve...
Hey guys! This week is just not ending! I want Saturday to be here already!
Here is another pretty nail polish with a less an impressive formula. It’s another one of the Formula X for Sephora ones. Standout is from the New Neutrals range and is a creamy and pearlescent finish.
Standout is a lovely light nude shade. I wouldn’t call this a baby pink, but it is a very pale warm pink. It’s the perfect manicure colour! I’m surprised I don’t have anything like, its a very dupeable shade.
It’s a cream polish but it has white pearlescent bits in it as well. It’s very noticeable in the bottle but doesn’t really show up on the nail.
I’ve been on a naughty haul! Well, technically, this is a collective haul over the last two months. Some of these are gifts since it was my birthday in Jan.
So I have a mix of blushes and went made over lipsticks mainly. I also got a couple of Formula X for Sephora nail polishes but I forgot to take pictures of those.
I really love everything I got. I’ve already used the mascara and the YSL lipstick in Ultimate Beige a lot, I love it! Burberry Beauty is something I was looking forward to buying. It’s expensive but it’s actually cheaper than Chanel, Dior or YSL. They have an incredible range and there’s a lot of focus on nudes as well.
Anyway, here’s the...
I’ve had a mad week recovering from a cough but things are slowly getting back to normal. I feel like this month went by in a flash! That aside, here’s another nail polish from the Formula X for Sephora range.
Orbit is a true navy blue and one from the New Classics or cream finish range. It’s on the darker side but a gorgeous staple kind of shade. But I’m not too impressed with the quality, especially at the price.
It’s thick consistency wise and that makes application a bit more tedious. It can go on a bit streaky and mine came with a part of the brush sticking out. It can also apply unevenly so you need two thick coats to get it to look even. On a smaller...
I have another skincare review for you! This was also in my skincare routine and I’m so glad I found this product!
We all know (or not) how important exfoliation is. I’m still not the most knowledgeable person but over the last two years I’ve been trying out different products to see what works best for me and I’ve found a winner! Totally jumping on the chemical exfoliant bandwagon here!
Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant is a exfoliant in the form of a facemask. It’s main ingredients are lactic acid and salicylic acid which help remove dead skin cells. It’s exfoliation for the lazy!
This comes out as a very very thick paste, almost clay like. It’s...
I first heard about this product on Lisa Eldridge’s skincare video and my hunt for a water based makeup remover started there.
In general, up until last year I was using the usual oil and water combo makeup removers. But I hated that oily residue that was left behind, I always had to wash my face after using even a tiny bit. It became only worse when it came to correcting makeup, that little area of oiliness left behind.
I think Caudalie’s Cleansing Water was the first water based one I tried. I loved how it felt but it didn’t remove makeup as efficiently as Bioderma.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O is a micellar water solution developed specially for sensitive skin. It’s very...
Yes kittens, it’s time to discuss that day of the year that people either love or hate!
I have to be honest, for the longest time me and my friends would go out and celebrate anti-valentine’s day on the 14th! We were adorable self righteous rebels! Now, we actually have someone to celebrate it with and it’s a corny money-biting affair!
I hate to admit it but you do eventually dry up for ideas and need help.
Giftease.com is a new online shopping site specially geared towards occasions and gifts. It’s a bit different from your usual shopping site in the way they’ve arranged it by events and also some of the features available once you login.
I’ve had this lip gloss for a while now but I don’t think I’ve used it a lot. I’m going through this phase where I’m discovering makeup I bought a while back that I haven’t used often. It’s unsettling, it means I need to stop shopping for quite a while!
On that though, I’m thinking of doing a blog sale but I’m just not sure if I should. I personally never buy from blog sales because I don’t like used makeup. It would be ironic right?
Going back to the review, here’s L’oreal Glam Shine Reflexion Lip Gloss in the shade Sheer Framboise. The shade is a bright warm pink. Almost like a warm fuchsia with pink and silver...
Urban Decay wins when it comes to eyeshadows! I managed to get my hands on this gorgeous and alarming pink eyeshadow.
Urban Decay Woodstock is a pearly fuchsia eyeshadow. It’s also described as a deep pink shimmer. It has pink and silver shimmer. How amazing is the colour though? I can keep staring at it for hours!
The quality is great, on par with rest of the pearl finish UD eyeshadows. It’s very smooth and buttery to touch. It’s also very pigmented and the payoff is good as well. I like that even on my extremely pigmented lids, I get true to pan colour without a primer or base.
It blends really well and stays put all day, no creasing either. Its really makes your lids...
From my shamefully large nail polish collection, there was one shade missing until now, gold. I was so eager to try Formula X for Sephora, they really do have amazing polishes in different finishes. The various glitter ones are really worth a look!
Formula X for Sephora in Bond, Iconic Bond comes from the Lusters range. I suppose they are sheer to medium glitter polishes that can achieve a full coverage. Well, atleast this one can! Bond Iconic Bond is that perfect gold which isn’t too yellow nor too light. It has shimmer and multi size glitter which looks amazing!
I’m very impressed with the quality of this one. The consistency is thin and the polish is slightly sheer, you get...
