It’s not often I get to review a hair mask. Mostly because it takes me so long to use one up! I’m very irregular with my use of hair masks which amount to 2-3 times a month!
But lo and behold, I have for you today, Macadamia Deep Repair Masque! I bought this long time ago from FeelUnique. As a rule, I only buy from there when there’s a good discount and it was one such occasion.
I’ve previously used the Moroccan Oil Hair Restorative Mask, so you’ll see a bit of comparison as well. If you don’t know, this hair mask is basically a deep conditioner, or a more intense and potent version of your regular conditioner meant to induce moisture in your hair and...
There’s one product I solely learnt the existence of because of other beauty blogs, and that’s a heat protectant. I’m not a massive user, on an everyday basis I blowdry my hair and when I do straighten, it’s at 160F at the max. But for someone with fine hair like mine, these are a must!
I’ve used quite a few overtime and some I can’t repurchase because of availability, I’m currently using Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist!
Toni & Guy a few months ago released a good range of hair products, I snapped this one up as soon as my Sunsilk one was over.
Calling it a protection “mist” feels very appropriate because it is so light to...
I really liked the last Kerastase shampoo I tried but I wanted something cheaper. I scoured the web till I found this. I honestly don’t know how to pronounce this without butchering it but it’s the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Volume Boost Shampoo.
It’s a transparent gel shampoo, very different consistency than most. It lathers well and is very mild. It doesn’t dry out my hair a lot and even in winters works well for me. It has a light floral scent which is very nice and pleasant.
I don’t notice a significant “boost” in volume but in general my hair has been more healthy and less prone to breakage and hair fall. It’s also very mild but still...
I wanted to try L’occitane hair products a few months back. I picked the L’occitane Volumizing Conditioner which I think is from the Aromachologie range.
Firstly, this is a very gentle and mild conditioner meant for fine and normal hair. If you have very thick and dense hair it might seem like you need too much of this product to make it work. I say that because I have fine hair and even I feel like the need to use more conditioner than I usually do.
The conditioner is white in colour and lotion like in consistency. It’s thinner than your average conditioner. This has a very pleasant fragrance which a bit citrusy and minty. I do like that a lot!
This does condition hair...
I finally managed to get my hands on Batiste again! I had mentioned in my Repurchased Products post that I would be reviewing this soon! I was doing my routine ‘let’s see if this product is available anywhere’ google searches to kill time when I finally found this on Snapdeal!
Here I have Batiste Dry Shampoo, the original one which has that clean citrus scent. It’s a product that just works well. You spray this on your roots which you will then find covered with very very fine white powder. As you massage it (or blend it) it will dissipate in a minute and your hair is as good as new! I have this problem on second day hair where it starts to clump and it’s a...
This post is a first of sorts! I love trying new products but there are certain ones I also buy again. I think this post would be a nice way to showcase products that really work for me.
Hope you like it!

Hello! Today I’m reviewing a hair conditioner that I picked up from Dorabjees. I was very intrigued when I saw the brand Organix. I picked up the Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil conditioner.
As you’d expect, the conditioner is very hydrating. It’s a thick yellow coloured creamy paste. It detangles the hair and leaves it really soft. It doesn’t weigh down your hair after use but it does take a long time to rinse it out properly!
This conditioner is also claims it protects hair from UV damage and heat. I can’t really ascertain it that really works but my hair is in good shape after using this. I started using this after I got a hair cut which means I had no...
This is a shampoo and conditioner duo I received in a Vellvette box a while back. They are perfect for travel and I used them 2 months ago.
I had never heard of the brand Brocato. It’s a US based company which makes organic products. So most ingredients are natural oils and the like.
Curlinterrupted is their range for hydrating dry and frizzy hair. Perfect match for my hair type!
The Smoothing and Hydrating Shampoo has a really nice scent. It’s a bit floral but mild and pleasant. This lathers well considering there aren’t any artificial cleaning agents. I didn’t find this particularly hydrating, but it makes your hair squeaky clean.
The Smoothing and Hydrating...
I’m drowning in fashion week, there’s just so much to look at! Meanwhile, I thought I’d share this product. It’s something I use almost on a daily basis but fail to mention in favourites or stuff like that.
It’s the Sunsilk Keratinology Heat Protector Spray. It’s from their Keratinology range and I believe, the only heat protector Sunsilk has? Correct me if I’m wrong though. It’s pretty cheap compared to others which would mostly be imported and more expensive.
First off, I love this type of spray mechanism rather than the push down ones, it’s just so much easier to use and you have more control. The packaging is spot on!
The spray is a...
I used this shampoo a few months back, I don’t have it anymore but I really liked it a lot! It’s the Kerastase Resistance Bain Volumactive Shampoo. I’d never really tried anything from their range before.
I wanted a mild volumizing shampoo and went for this. I have dry hair so I didn’t want a shampoo that would dry it out too much but still give me volume. This worked really well on both counts. My hair always felt lighter and didn’t weigh down as easily which helped keep more volume longer. I also noticed that my hair fall that reduced. I was using the Herbal Essences one before and the change was dramatic, probably due to the ingredients.
I was actually going to post this last month but forgot and just discovered these pics this week. It’s a haul over 2 months. Some of the stuff I ordered online in India, Dubai airport and a Finnish pharmacy!

This past month I’ve tried a lot of new products and some of them are mentioned here while others are trusted favourites that I use everyday. Hope you are all having a good month! This is a bit late but well overdue since I didn’t post May favourites.
My favourites for June :
01. Shampoo : Brocato : Hydrating Shampoo
I was using this when I was travelling and it works really well. It’s not too strong and I like the smell as well.
02. Conditioner : Brocato : Hydrating Conditioner
This is in an emulsion paste kinda form and also works just as well.
03. Eye Cream : Estee Lauder : Advanced Repair Night Cream
This isn’t something I use...
‘You look exactly the same!’ While it’s great to hear that from someone you haven’t seen in years, you hope they don’t mean your hair. No woman enjoys wearing the same hairstyle day in and day out, much less for years together. We all love experimenting with our hair, whether its various styling products or instruments to make our hair look beautiful. In the attempt to look our best, we end up overlooking the daily damage we put our tresses through.
Knowingly or unknowingly, hair damage is often self-inflicted. A gamut of factors are responsible for damaging hair, not just on a superficial level but from deep within. Constant and excessive exposure to the sun and daily...
I received the May Vellvette box yesterday and I’m liking it! This month, the theme is ‘organic’ and they’ve included products made from completely organic ingredients.
01. Tvam : Almond and Honey Scrub and Body Polisher (sample size)
I’m eager to try this out. It has that nice ayurvedic scent.
02. Brocato : Curlinterrupted Smoothing & Hydrating Treatment Kit (sample size)
A shampoo and a conditioner! I’ll be trying this out and might take it when I’m travelling! Good timing!
03. Flomar : Deluxe Shine Gloss Lipstick – D40
This is a gloss lipstick hybrid. It’s very creamy and sheer but glossy....
Hello peeps! Hope you are all having a good week. I’m glad it’s Wednesday, which means Friday isn’t far behind!
So many months ago, I was thinking of using a hair serum just to see if it made it difference. To be honest it didn’t but I found other uses for this.
John Frieda’s Frizz – Ease Super Strength Hair Serum was one I googled and I found decent reviews for it. Sadly, this just didn’t work for me as a serum.
You apply this to damp or wet hair. You only need a coin size amount of the gel, just rub it in your palms and spread it across your hair. Now if you use this on your roots, you are bound to get greasy weighted down hair, especially if...
