October 2014 Favourites

October 2014 Favourites

Time for the monthly favourites. I've had such a crazy Monday, I just want to talk about makeup! A  bunch of things I've been using for the last 2-3 months and some are more recent favourites. So here goes!   01. Lorac Pro Palette :: So I finally got this a few months back and it's pretty much replaced my UD Naked palette. I love the colours! I've used it for subtle everyday looks, night outs with smokey eyes and shimmery looks. Also used it on Diwali and I have a few weddings…Read more
Korres Holiday in Greece Kit

Korres Holiday in Greece Kit

A while back I purchased this travel size set and I've used quite a few times in the past year. Korres is a Greek Pharmacy brand and I do like their skincare and bath products though I haven't tried a lot before. This set was also a good opportunity to try a bunch of things. Korres Holiday in Greece Kit comes with a shampoo, 2 showergels, 1 body butter and 1 body milk. I do wish there was a conditioner instead of 2 shower gels though. I'm going to do mini reviews of…Read more
NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil

Hey guys! For a change, here's a skincare post. I've always wanted to try products from Nuxe, so I ended up getting this multi usage oil and their lip balm. I'm liking both! NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil, much like the name is a kind of oil you can use for different purposes. It's a thin consistency of yellow coloured oil which smells just amazing. The scent is quite strong with a jasmine, vanilla floral fragrance which is somehow very balanced, it's just lovely. I use this in a lot of ways…Read more
What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

On my review posts I'm always talking about how travel friendly products are etc. Since I spent the better half of last month doing just that, I thought I'd do a 'What's in my purse' instead of the usual monthly favorites! Let's dig in! I mainly carried 3 bags. The red one with two transparent sides was for keeping makeup. I kept the products on one side and the brushes on the other. The pink one was also kept in my luggage and it contained skincare stuff, perfume etc. And lastly, the gorgeous…Read more
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

It's not often I get to review a hair mask. Mostly because it takes me so long to use one up! I'm very irregular with my use of hair masks which amount to 2-3 times a month! But lo and behold, I have for you today, Macadamia Deep Repair Masque! I bought this long time ago from FeelUnique. As a rule, I only buy from there when there's a good discount and it was one such occasion. I've previously used the Moroccan Oil Hair Restorative Mask, so you'll see a bit of comparison…Read more
Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist

Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist

There's one product I solely learnt the existence of because of other beauty blogs, and that's a heat protectant. I'm not a massive user, on an everyday basis I blowdry my hair and when I do straighten, it's at 160F at the max. But for someone with fine hair like mine, these are a must! I've used quite a few overtime and some I can't repurchase because of availability, I'm currently using Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist! Toni & Guy a few months ago released a good range of hair products, I…Read more
Schwarzkopf Bonacure Volume Boost Shampoo

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Volume Boost Shampoo

I really liked the last Kerastase shampoo I tried but I wanted something cheaper. I scoured the web till I found this. I honestly don't know how to pronounce this without butchering it but it's the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Volume Boost Shampoo. It's a  transparent gel shampoo, very different consistency than most. It lathers well and is very mild. It doesn't dry out my hair a lot and even in winters works well for me. It has a light floral scent which is very nice and pleasant. I don't notice a significant "boost" in volume…Read more
L’occitane Volumizing Conditioner

L’occitane Volumizing Conditioner

I wanted to try L'occitane hair products a few months back. I picked the L'occitane Volumizing Conditioner which I think is from the Aromachologie range. Firstly, this is a very gentle and mild conditioner meant for fine and normal hair. If you have very thick and dense hair it might seem like you need too much of this product to make it work. I say that because I have fine hair and even I feel like the need to use more conditioner than I usually do. The conditioner is white in colour and…Read more
Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I finally managed to get my hands on Batiste again! I had mentioned in my Repurchased Products post that I would be reviewing this soon! I was doing my routine 'let's see if this product is available anywhere' google searches to kill time when I finally found this on Snapdeal! Here I have Batiste Dry Shampoo, the original one which has that clean citrus scent.  It's a product that just works well. You spray this on your roots which you will then find covered with very very fine white powder. As you massage it…Read more

Repurchased Products #1

This post is a first of sorts! I love trying new products but there are certain ones I also buy again. I think this post would be a nice way to showcase products that really work for me.
