Mac Atlantic Blue Eye Shadow

Atlantic blue is hands down one of the best Mac eye shadows. Its a bright ultramarine blue. The colour payoff is really good and it lasts really long. This would look so amazing on bright eye looks. I bought this in just the refill pan and made a palette with bright colours. I'll be review the rest soon as well.   Photos and swatches below!           one swipe on left, over primer on right Read more

Nyx Eye Shadows in Peach Bronze and Golden Dune

These are my favourite of the lot I hauled! Peach Bronze is a proper bronze with gold shimmer. Golden Dune is a dirty yellow/copper with gold shimmer. Both look so gorgeous and flattering. They are especially good if you are working with festive looks. Pair them with a plum, olive green or teal colour and you have a bright festive look! Quality wise both are quite similar. They go on very smoothly and are SO pigmented. There is a bit of fall out if you wear these without a primer. I felt that the…Read more

Grey Smokey Eye Tutorial

I thought I'd start my tutorial series with a simple and universally flattering look. the grey smokey eye. This look can be made as minimal as possible or as dramatic as you need it to be. Along with the pictures, I've given detailed intructions below.   What you'll need : 01. Dark grey and cement (medium) grey like the Dior 5 Couleours palette. 02. Matte Black like Mac Carbon. 03. Black pencil liner like Maybelline Kohl Express. 04. (optional) Black liquid liner like Benefit Magic Black. 05. Black Mascara like Givency Phenomen Eyes 06. Eye…Read more

Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara

Bobbi Brown's lengthening and waterproof mascara No Smudge has a really nice formula. Within a single coat it covers the lashes quite nicely. Rather than volume, I feel it adds more length to them. The product itself doesn't dry quickly. I've had this for about 5 months. I've started to use it more frequently in the last month. It does form clumps after 3-4 coats but I generally only apply too. I don't like the look where there is so much mascara that it looks too obvious and at time dirty. One downside…Read more

NYX Eye Shadow in Taupe and True Taupe

Today, I'll review the NYX eye shadows Taupe and True Taupe! Siblings in the name but the shades are quite different. Taupe is more yellow while True taupe has more grey and red in it. I have to disclose that I bought these because I like to make my eyelids look even and smooth. These too colours work well together to make it even and add some difference as well. My swatches appear too washed out on my skin so I will re-take the swatches soon and re upload them so that you can…Read more
NYX Eye Shadow in Pure Skin

NYX Eye Shadow in Pure Skin

I had recently hauled a couple neutral eye shadows from Nyx. Pure Skin was one of them. It's a light peachy/cream colour with gold shimmer. It's more yellow and its quite sheer. It would work well as a highlight for brow bones or to blend in different colours if you want shimmer. I'm not too happy with my purchase. I feel that it doesn't stay on too long. It fades after 3-4 hours which is far too less from what I expect. Also, the fallout is quite a lot. The shimmer does spread EVERYWHERE.…Read more

Mac Big Bounce Shadow in Black Diamond

Mac's Big Bounce shadows are limited edition from the Flighty Collection and I grabbed Black Diamond at Heathrow. At first I thought this would be a glossy eye shadow. It's consistency is quite different from paint pots. It's more gel-like than creamy, although you wouldn't define it as one. I'd say it were a thick gloss with microshimmer that dries to a powdery finish. It doesn't appear completely matte when it dries, but not glossy either. This creases very easily so using just this on the lid is pointless. You need to set…Read more

Milani EasyLiner for Blue Eyes

After a long work week, it feels good to just laze about in my room and blog!! Hope you well are having a great weekend! Milani's EasyLiner is a retractable pencil liner. I have it in the colour Blue Eyes which is a cerulean or peacock blue. It's a bright greenish blue. It's very very pigmented and cheap. For the quality and money value, you can't get a better combination than this. It goes on very smoothly. It does transfer and smudge a lot. Generally I prefer smudge-proof eye liners. The liner is retractable…Read more

Haul and MedPlusBeauty Review

I was looking for bronzey neutral shades that I didn't have. I also wanted a blue based red lipstick and Ruby Woo seems so out of reach. I decided to buy Revlon's True Red. I decided to give MedPlusBeauty a try. I'll start by saying that I'm pleased with the haul and the website. But the way they handle delivery is atrocious! And I probably won't buy again from MedPlus because of it. More on the story below, I'll start with the goodies! 01. NYX - Single Eyeshadow - Taupe 02. NYX -…Read more
March 2012 Favourites

March 2012 Favourites

It's the time of the month! I mean, to err... talk about my favourites! The products mentioned below are not only the most used this month but also what I would reach out for the most on occasion. Onto the list! But a pretty picture first. ; 01. Concealer : MAC : Moisture Select Concealer : NW35 I have panda eyes. Although, that doesn't make me look cute! To be very honest, if I completely cover them with heavy concealer, it just looks really unnatural. I think that to look a bit natural,…Read more
