August 2015 Favourites

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a pleasant start to the weekend! After posting this I'm going to enjoy some much needed me time with a face mask and painting my nails while catching up on Made In Chelsea. I honestly don't know why I watch it. I think it's the outfits and Lucy Watson snark that draws me in. Also, my pictures turned out really dull this time round, mirroring the weather outside.   01. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in Beige 40 :: Review :: I've mentioned this many times before, but if…Read more
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

You might have heard a reasonable amount of praise for The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, here's one more in the crowd. The highlighter is known best for it's universal colour, pigmentation, fine quality, glow sans sparkle and the relatively affordable price! Mary-Lou is a champagne gold colour, it's not too warm though. It translates very well on the skin as a colour that's not too cool or warm. The powder is very very fine and there's no chunky glitter or distinct shimmer, it all looks seamless. Unless you carefully it use very little, this…Read more

June 2015 Favourites

It's favourites time again! I tried to not include everything from my haul, but there's a lot from it.   01. Pai Camellia & Rose Ultra Hydrating Cleanser :: I used up my Ren Milk Cleanser and it was time to finally start using this. I'm very impressed. I like the consistency, my skin never feels too dry after using it. It's very gentle around the eyes as well. I generally use this in the mornings and second cleanse in the evening. I also love the packaging and the pump really generates the…Read more
Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop

There are  a few blushes that are in their own league, ones I'd repurchase without a second thought. This is a new addition to that! When this was released, I remember feeling excited with the promos, I knew I had to try these out. The reviews started trickling in and it was all I hoped for, I tried it myself and it's a happy marriage. :) Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop brings out the makeup romantic in me but aside from that it is a really great blush worth trying. The…Read more
Makeup Collection // Highlighters

Makeup Collection // Highlighters

Hi there! It's been very grey and stormy this week, I'm hoping this will cheer you (and me) up on this dreary Thursday. Let's talk all about highlighters! Before we get into the collection, a bit of nostalgia. My very first one was Nars Orgasm, back when it came in a tube. I quickly realized just how much it can change your look with just a tiny bit, I was hooked. It was pink and gold, I used it everyday with all combinations of blushes. I was obsessed! Naturally, since then, the obsession has grown. L-R…Read more

May 2015 Favourites

Happy Monday! I thought I'd present what I've been loving lately, there's a mix of old and new products this time round. I generally don't have too many new favourites month to month. But every 2-3 months I have a lot more new products to share without it getting too repetitive.     01. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion :: As much as I like The Body Shop it can get boring to use them at a stretch. I was quite happy to find this at Sephora. I had used…Read more
Canmake Cream Cheek in CL01 Clear Red Heart

Canmake Cream Cheek in CL01 Clear Red Heart

One of my biggest discoveries last year was drugstore makeup in Japan. I bought a ton but the Canmake blushes really stood out for me. Canmake Cream Cheek in Clear Red Heart (CL01) is a sheer red cream blush. 'Clear' refers to it's truly translucent nature which makes it adapt to your skin tone and texture really well to give a very natural and seamless look. It has a gel like consistency which looks similar to the Josie Maran Cheek Gelee but it's creamier and softer. You need absolutely the tiniest bit. The pinky red…Read more
Just Swatches : Nars Blushes

Just Swatches : Nars Blushes

Hello there! I haven't done one of these in a while. I don't see myself buying anymore Nars blushes, I thought it would be a good time to do a collective post on them. I present to you, my Nars blush collection which is very dear to me! I was very new into makeup when I found myself attracted to Nars blushes, Douceur being the first one I picked out. I wasn't wearing blush regularly at the time and it's the first blush that made me get into the habit of applying blush…Read more
Mac Pinch Me Blush

Mac Pinch Me Blush

Usually, when I go into Mac I have a specific list of things I want to try/buy. I once found myself in an empty Mac with no particular idea of what I wanted. I took my time swatching and perusing everything, looking at products I didn't already know the names of, till I landed my eyes on this! As far as blushes go, after a lot of experimentation, "my" colour is definitely earthy and muted. Mac Pinch Me is a lovely earthy mix of brown and red. It's a 'Sheertone' blush, sheer pigmentation…Read more

February 2015 Favourites

My idea of getting through the work midweek is making plans for the weekend! It's all decided, I'm going to be cooped up in my room watching the rest of House of Cards. All I want is Robin Wright's wardrobe! Meanwhile, you can take a peek at what I've been loving the past month. This is going to be a long favourites post! I think it's the first one for 2015. Let's just jump in!   01. Guerlain Gloss D'enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss in Candy Strip :: I haven't reviewed this gloss yet…Read more
