Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet

You must excuse my lack on continuity with posts, I haven't been keeping well lately. My very first lip gloss was from Clarins. That was almost 4-5 years ago. I've recently rediscovered my love for the brand. The products are well packaged, good durability and the quality is suberb! The same goes for their skincare line. Today, I'll be reviewing the Colour Quench Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet. These glosses are sheer, with microshimmer and a corresponding fragrance as well. Mine tastes like strawberries and its so yummy! In the tube it appears…Read more

China Glaze Four Leaf Clover

When Mulberry Alexa exploded on the scene, I wanted the watermelon one so badly!! Instead, I bought China Glaze Four Leaf Clover! The colour is a total dupe! And I love it! When it comes to spring colours, I love pastel colour but I don't think they look that good with my skin tone. Instead the slightly darker bright colours suit me more. This is definitely one of them! I have to give you a warning though, the colouring in the photographs is slightly off. I tried with 3 different cameras and all…Read more

Models Own Loose Powder in Deep Mauve

Models Own is a brand that I stumbled across at Asos. I read their reviews and was curious to try their eye shadows and nail polishes. Their loose powder is the first one I ever owned. The shade Deep Mauve is a stunning blue based purple with microshimmer. The pigmentation is AMAZING and the coverage is so opaque, with just one stroke. Its not really a deep mauve. Over the lid, it comes off as a bright purple. The shimmers are blue, violet and silver mixed together, hence it also gives a blue…Read more

Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray

Using a heat protectant is so important!! I hate it when salons don't use it either! So anyway, I have tried many and I keep coming back to this. It's not easily available in India and I can't ship it from overseas. The store where I usually buy it doesn't always stock it. So currently, I'm using Tigi. The packging is really good. The nozzle has a lock, so its travel friendly. I like the long handle spray rather than the press down aerosol ones. That way I dont have to check where…Read more

Burberry Brit Perfume

Summer is here! And I hate it already! It's so dry, I feel like I'm melting everytime I step out in the sun. An essential for this summer is definitely a light, long staying perfume! Burberry Brit (for women) is one of my favourite perfumes for daywear. The fragrance is like a mix of vanilla, citrus and floral scents. It has a long staying power. It lasts throughout the working day but it's not too strong an odour either. Won't make people hate the smell, but it leaves a distinct scent which is…Read more

Benefit Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner

I generally find that Benefit is a very overpriced brand with products you can find dupes for. But the liquid liner is a different story (for me). I have a very unsteady hand and using liquid liners scares me. The line becomes crooked, it bleeds, its isn't too black etc etc. But what I really liked about Benefit's magic ink liner is that it stayed in place, it lasted long, it looked resonably wet and didn't dry up into pieces. Along with that, I love the packaging and the long slim handle. It…Read more

Nars Douceur Blush

I love Nars blushes! I wish I had more of them! If its Nars, I would even be willing to go bold with Exhibit! But for now, I will be reviewing the muted blush Douceur. It's peachy pink with brown undertones. I think it would look good on all skintones! The blush isn't too pigmented but its buildable. This is my go to blush for office when I don't want too much makeup. It applies quite sheer. It's also a good choice for contouring when you need that slight definition but not a…Read more

Essie Aruba Blue

I'm a nail polish junkie. Every weekend, I have my sacred "me time" routine of watching a movie or something and painting my nails. This week, I'm wearing Essie's Aruba Blue on my nails. Its a gorgeous deep blue with greenish navy undertones. It also has blue microshimmer. Its not royal blue or electric blue like China Glaze Frostbite; more towards navy. Its quite opaque. But you do need 2 coats. It's has a nice sheen to it, even without a topcoat. Adding one just makes it super glossy. It lasts for atleast…Read more

BLAB Haul and Review

Last month I hauled from and got a couple of things. Its a got a great selection of brands including some higher end ones like Shiseido, YSL. I got a hair spray, 3 nail polishes and a face cream! My Haul Tigi Bedhead Massive Shine Hair Spray - I have the Tigi Catwalk range I'm quite impressed with it. Tigi in India is hard to come by so I decided to try out Bed Head. I've heard rave reviews about this one and I hope it adds some much needed shine to…Read more

CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion

Covergirl LashBlastFusion was one of the first mascaras I had used. I'm not aware if its available in other colours but mine is in black. I love the shape, at the time when it came out, it was a nice change to see. It looks so pretty and I just love that hot purple! The mascara is thick and creamy in black. The wand is large with soft rubber bristles. It goes on very smoothly and very few clumps. I really don't like clumpy mascaras which make it too obvious, I like the…Read more
