Jabong.com Online Shopping Review and Mini Haul

I honestly need to start a support group or something so I can curb my online shopping a bit! I’m generally well behaved but I relapse sometimes! Anyway here’s my review of Jabong.com which houses everyhing from napkins to shoes to handbags to rubber bands. I mainly shop the Beauty and Fashion sections so my review is mainly for those items.   Website and Design Jabong has one of the better designs in the ecommerce sector it’s very clean and easy to navigate. The menu is well thought out, everything is where it should be and works well. I also like that they have an iPhone app. The accounts layout is also quite good. My only problem is with the order view for tracking...

OOTD : Citron Powerplay

Hey guys! Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Best cure for A lazy Sunday? Procrastination! So I thought I’d put together this post. It’s been a while since I posted another OOTD! Here’s one that can be played up or down depending where you’re going but looks fabulous either way!   Top : Vero Moda | Jeggings : Zara | Blazer : Mango Shoes : Chinese Laundry | Bag : R&Em | Necklace : The Limited    I’d like to use this post to declare my love for these shoes. I don’t wear them as often as I’d like to, but they are insanely comfortable despite the heel and look very edgy. I love pairing them with leggings! The cotton jeggings from...

March 2014 Magazine Mayhem

It’s March already! And there are some amazing covers this month! On a different note, I’ve decided what the Giveaway prize will be! It’ll be announced on 2nd April and I think it’ll keep it open for the month. Now I just need to figure out how to set it up.       I am not a Kardashian fan, that Vogue cover sent me in shock. But, the Jenner sisters look amazing in their Marie Claire Mexico cover. I’ve never noticed Elle Oriental before, which is for Lebanon I believe. But I love the model and its just so glam. I’m going to keep an eye out for it from next time. The Lorde V magazine cover is so now and iconic, it’s nice to see her...

Fall 2014 RTW : Balenciaga, Manish Arora and Ann Demeulemeester

Love these collections from Balenciaga and Ann Demeulemeester. Manish Arora’s will have in a tizzy! All from Paris Fashion Week.     Balenciaga It feels like it’s by Alexander Wang and the colour (which rejuvenated his own show) makes this very appealing. I like the zippers going down the sleeves and the the crosses. The structure feels very macho but the colours give it a young feel. Manish Arora You’ve just stepped into a fun candy...

Fall 2014 RTW : Dries Van Noten, Gareth Pugh and Vionnet

There are some very thoughtful collections like Gareth Pugh and Vionnet. The more relatable but still fashionable Dries Van Noten; all fall collections from Paris Fashion Week.     Dries Van Noten It’s urban chic with the retro silhouettes in geometric lines and bold colours. The outerwear and coats are to die for. The floral separates are my favourites...

Fall 2014 RTW : Cédric Charlier, Guy Laroche and Bouchra Jarrar

Paris Fashion Week fall collections get a start here with Cédric Charlier, Guy Laroche and Bouchra Jarrar!   Cédric Charlier Reptiles recreated using textiles (bad rhyming) and pleating, that’s the inspiration. It’s done quite well too, it’s not out there snakeskin but subtle. I think the overall vibe of a snake is captured very well. But I’m not a fan of the cut-out fur. Guy Laroche Guy Laroche was...

Fall 2014 RTW : Dsquared², Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana

It’s a fitting end to Milan Fashion Week with Dsquared², Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana with their gorgeous collections.   Dsquared² It’s theatrical and fantastic! The opening look of a patient being accompanied by nurses is extravagant. The hospital shackle like bracelets on the knees and hands while being very trendy, are obvious. I love the green gown and the cape with feathers, like an evil doctor of sorts. It’s fun and beautiful at the same time. Can’t ask for more, can...

Fall 2014 RTW : Salvatore Ferragamo, Missoni and Trussardi

Love the Salvatore Ferragamo collection; also reviewed are Missoni and Trussardi from Milan Fashion Week.   Missoni The zig zag can make this collection stand out from a crowd and this time it’s a colourful play of colours and oversize outerwear. I’m not too enthralled by the collection but this collection scores high on the wearability scale, I do like the darker muted warm colours.     Salvatore Ferragamo It’s a very sleek and modern collection. I like the leather piping on the flowing cuts, it...

Fall 2014 RTW : Emilio Pucci, Luisa Beccaria and Sportmax

Hope you’re all having a nice weekend! Fall collections from Emilio Pucci, Luisa Beccaria and Sportmax! All from Milan Fashion Week.     Emilio Pucci It’s hard to pinpoint a look or trend here, there’s such so much to look at. The leather leathers, the print ones, the knit jumpers, ponchos and leather boots! Where so I start? It was mix of north and south with a Scandinavian influence over the knits and the Mediterranean for the lighter ones. I’m just floored by that flowing yellow gown and khaki one donned by Joan Smalls, it’s...

Fall 2014 RTW : Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander

Incredible collections from Roberto Cavalli, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta, all from Milan Fashion Week. Roberto Cavalli’s in particular is amazing.     Bottega Veneta It’s very ladylike, this collection. With just dresses and all in a similar silhouette, it’s been given more depth with the use of patterns in the form of lines, curves and puzzle like arrangements. It’s very wearable, even for workwear. There’s a black and white dress with looks so light, it’s clinched at the waist and looks incredible. The light grey and beige dress with the leather...

Fall 2014 RTW : Etro, Versace and Marni

Here are  three execllent fall collections from Milan Fashion Week; Etro, Versace and Marni! Etro is really iconic!   Etro I seem to perfer collections drawn on culture (when done appropriatelt ofcourse). The tops, long flowing dresses with a myriad of prints and embroidery. It’s a muted and warm collection, makes to think of a sunny place.   Versace With a bias cut mastered, this collection keeps the Versace moto...

Fall 2014 RTW : Blumarine, Emporio Armani and Antonio Marras

More fall madness from Milan Fashion Week, here are collections from Blumarine, Emporio Armani and Antonio Marras!   Blumarine I love the kimono-esque clothes, that gold and black fabric looks so rich. The cape witht he gown is also very impressive. Overall, there are many likeable pieces like the layered mini skirts and lace dresses with the slight ruffle at the...

Fall 2014 RTW : Max Mara, Fendi and Just Cavalli

Love these fall collections from Milan Fashion Week, Max Mara in particular. Also reviewing, Fendi and Just Cavalli.   Max Mara It’s THE collection for “proper” winterwear. There’s wearable oversize and classic fabrics and colours in modern cuts. I also like the more fitted pieces like the olive blazer and grey tweed coat. You also have tweed in the form of a puffer jacket which is fresh. Fendi It’s hard to pick one trend...

Fall 2014 RTW : Prada, Costume National and Moschino

These are some very strong collections from Prada and Moschino. Also reviewing Costume National from Milan Fashion Week.     Prada It’s Prada taking inspiration from art yet again and it’s beautiful. You can see the difference in the feminine sleek clothing and the masculine oversized one layered over it. Eventually it breaks through and merges together to form something very beautiful. I really like the sheer dresses with the...

Fall 2014 RTW : Gucci, Alberta Ferretti and Ports 1961

I thought I’d get started on collections from Milan Fashion Week starting with Gucci, Alberta Ferretti and Ports 1961!   Gucci My jaw dropped when I saw this, it’s so basic on the outside but just the finesse is so stunning. I love the use of muted pastels, the leather which looks so luxe and structured. Every look is perfection. I really like the coats and that yellow leather...
