Resort 2014 collections are trickling in very slowly and I just can’t find them all in one place. I don’t know why some of the sites are holding back on publishing them. Oh well, I have 3 collections to review here – Christian Dior by Raf Simmons, Versus Versace by J.W. Anderson and Etro! Let’s begin!
Christian Dior
Showcased in Monaco, Dior’s collection had that air of elegance and a grandiose location to present it. Placed in a yacht, it was quite the obvious choice for a resort collection. The looks have that flair for luxe silhouettes but shaking it up with modern prints and styles. The opening dress it itself lays down the rule for the rest to follow....

1. Rebecca Minkoff : Mini M.A.C : Almond
Good leather, very wearable. I’ve been wanting this bag for the longest time.
2. Soap and Glory : The Righteous Butter
I’ve read really good reviews about this. And now that’s its available in India, I really want it!
3. Mac : Mineralize Lipstick : Style Surge
It’s the perfect colour for summer.
4. Pipa Bella : Pastel bib necklace
It’s such a good statement piece to have. I don’t really have any pastel necklaces.
5. Caudalie : Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum
I’ve been reading up stuff and I feel like I need a hydrating serum for my skin. This might just be...

Resort 2014 is here! I’m preparing for my next big vacation in June and I’ll be travelling a lot. It puts me in the right mood to review resort collections! Granted, I’m travelling to cold countries in Scandanavia, the beachy resort collections are still a treat to view!
Chanel
Chanel’s resort collection as always, took place in another exotic place; this time Singapore. While some silhouettes borrowed from the traditional Singaporean dress, Lagerfeld interprets it in the classic Chanel-esque manner. If you love pearls, clean exhuberance, you’ll love this collection.
I loved the strands of pearls and pearl buttons incorporated in the outfits. The oversize...

This is a really casual chic outfit I love wearing if I’ve heading out for a movie or a casual date. It’s simple and light for summers.
Top : Miss Selfridge | Jeans : Miss Selfridge | Cardigan : Miss Selfridge | Clutch : Forever New | Heels : Dorothy Perkins
Necklace : Fab Alley | Bracelets : Fab Alley and Westside
Lips : Mac Super Glass Totally Bang | Nails : Illamasqua Phallic | Toes : Zoya Alegra
1. Monochrome can at times feel too simple. Add more depth by using pieces with different textures throughout the outfit.
2. Adding a little bit of colour with accessories does help! I chose the floral clutch as an ode to...

So this is part 2 of the Met Ball red carpet! Warning, this is very image heavy! In case you miss it, here’s part 1. So let’s begin!
Dakota Fanning
in Rodarte
Unlike her sister, Dakota here looks amazing. The gown is appropriate for her figure, and although it’s not loud as some of the other dresses, it maintains that simple charm. I think her make up is very pretty and soft as well.
Haille Steinfeld
in Donna Karan Atelier
She looks very feminine and fresh in this. I’m not too happy about the eye makeup but overall, it’s a great look for her.
Heidi Klum
in Marchesa
No one will deny that the gown is gorgeous and looks amazing on her. But she needs a matte...

The Met Gala is here! I love seeing the red carpet for the sheer number of brilliant wacky creations that you otherwise only get to se eon runways. This years exhibition was on the theme Punk : Chaos to Couture. While some chose to dress in the theme, others ignored it. But either way, lets take a look at what the ladies donned.
Hilary Rhoda
in Wes Gordon
I love the pants and gown combo. This particular lace and sheer bodice looks really beautiful. I love her hair and makeup as well.
Anna Wintour
in Chanel Haute Couture
She looks appropriate. It’s definitely a gown that stood out on the red carpet, in a way, because of it’s simplicity.
Lauren Santo Domingo
in Dolce...

April was a very hectic month for me! I quit my old job, fixed up the new one! Towards the last week of April I had more free time though, which was like a mini vacation. I have to say, I didn’t explore much this month but nevertheless there are things I wish to share.
Link Love – Books To Be Read
1. Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling – I had bought this a long time ago and finally picked it up to read. Harry Potter is at a pedestal for me and although it’s still too early to review this, I’m not entirely engrossed by the book. But I will give it time and we will see!

Hello! The month of april has brought a lot of spring centric covers forward. There are lovely warm colours and fresh natural makeup are in abundance! Take in the visual wall and see my favourites below.
You may be wondering why are there so many Rihanna covers. Well, Elle UK had a 2-cover magazine and Elle France also adopted a similar cover. But she looks fierce as ever doesn’t she? I love the red lip on her.
Emily VanCamp looks amazing in her Marie Claire and Fashion covers. I can’t wait for the next episode of Revenge!
Saskia De Brauwn in her Marie Claire cover has a similar look to Gwen Stefani’s cover in Vogue US a couple months ago. Really?...

For the longest time in the past year, I’ve been wanting a plain and simple burgundy dress. And I finally found one! To give the outfit more character, I added a statement necklace and neutral colours so that the colour could be loud.
Dress : Spring Break | Blazer : Mango | Bag : Mango | Shoes : H&M | Belt : Thrifted
Necklace : Accessorize | Bracelets : ASOS and gifted | Ring : Miss Selfridge
Lips : Mac Fast Play | Nails : Illamasqua Viridian
1. An ensemble can look unfinished no matter how gorgeous the dress is if you don’t pair the right accessories. So choose based on your comfort level.

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Four Fountains Spa at Koregaon Park, Pune and I’d like to share my experience.
So I’m not typically a spa person. I haven’t had many experiences to compare with but I did have a good feeling at the end of this.
I think one thing to be noted that since it’s a chain in many cities, a lot of the places in terms of size and ambience can differ. I can only speak for the experience I had at this particular one.
So anyway, I went in on a hot saturday afternoon and when I came out I was really relaxed and feeling great. The place isn’t too big but it has a nice calming vibe to it and I liked the...

I had quite a strenuous March where there was a lot of internal turmoil regarding some things in my life. But with April everything has cleared up and I’m certainly happier. Not too fond of summers and the intense heat but other than that I’m excited about quite a few things this month!
Link Love – Books To Be Read
1. Our Lady of Alice Bhatti – Mohammad Hanif
I finished reading this in March and I love it. Would surely read it again some day.

1. TheSkinStore - This store sells Cetaphil, Avene, Clinique, La Roche Posay and other skincare brands. I haven’t shopped from here but I might very soon.

The final day of Lakme Fashion Week and this post is long overdue. Unfortunately, I was really ill almost the entire week and didn’t manage to do much on my blog. But I really missed it and I’m back with a bang!
With a stunning finale from Namrata Joshipura and collections from Archana Kochhar and Shantanu & Nikhil.
Archana Kochhar
Archana Kochhar’s collection has a good urban vibe about it. I like the monochrome prints with the neon colours in sheer breezy silhouettes. Definitely feels very spring/summer. I love the bright fuschia dress the neon saree as...

The final day, day 5 of Lakme fashion Week was held a lot of anticipation. People were really synced to see Namrata Joshipura’s collection but till then, collections from Kaabia & Sasha, Nitya and Vijay Balhara proved to be great as well.
Kaabia & Sasha
The jewellery in this collection had a tribal vibe to it. But all the statement pieces were so gorgeous. My favourites were actually the rings. Enormous and never seen anything like them before.
Nitya
This collection featured fun summer separates...

March magazines featured clothing from all the latest fall shows! There were many I loved this month.
Joan Smalls strikes an amazing pose in her Harper’s Bazaar cover.
Rachel Weisz does not age and continues to look amazing in her Harper’s Bazaar cover as well.
W had three varities of cover featuring Lara Stone, Kate Moss and Matalia Vodinova, Each one is brilliant. I love the lighting and how balanced the colours are in each.
Agyness Dean has a very adorable InStyle cover.
Lana del Ray looks great in her Numero cover. It’s really something!
Arizona Muse and Iris Egbers have very contrasting but still stunning Vogue covers.
Mila Kunis looks...

Day 4 at Lakme Fashion Week begin with a bang with gorgeous collections from Purvi Doshi, Soumitra Mondal and Vaishali S.
Purvi Doshi
Purvi Doshi’s collection kept the oufit’s simple and comfortable for summers. But the added charm was the not too overpowering colourful embroidery. Everyone own’s something vintage in this style but to see it applied to a new silhouette is amazing. All the dresses have a nice casual ease to them.
Soumitra Mondal
Soumitra Mondal’s collection was a treat for women who love pink! The patterns were delicate and the sarees were more traditional but it made a nice change. I do...
