Wishlist : December 2014

The final wishlist of the year! Seems fitting since it's my birthday in less than a month. I'm allowed a bit of a splurge, right?!   Tom Ford Lip Color in Indian Rose Who wouldn't want this? I'm torn between Indian Rose, Casablanca and a few other shades. Debating which shade I might eventually buy is a nice way to procrastinate from actually buying Tom Ford. I thought about buying from the new limited edition minis collection. But I didn't actually like any of the shades that much. I think I'd rather pay for a…Read more
Handbag Review : Longchamp Le Pliage Tote Bag in Bilberry

Handbag Review : Longchamp Le Pliage Tote Bag in Bilberry

Today it's going to be a different kind of post. I woke up way too early in the morning to vote and after a heavy breakfast, I have time to kill at 8am. That pretty much only happens when there's a vote. ;) Anytime I want to invest in something more expensive of the handbag variety, I spend days daydreaming about it but also checking on reviews, experiences be it on You Tube or on blogs. I feel I should contribute to the same with my review for the Longchamp Le Pliage bag.…Read more
Spring 2015 RTW : Paris Fashion Week : Part Three

Spring 2015 RTW : Paris Fashion Week : Part Three

So this is the final post covering Spring 2015; it's part three (the finale) of Paris Fashion Week and this post is just filled with all the big name fashion houses. I suppose overall, the collections that really stuck with me were The Row, Luisa Beccaria, Etro, Naeem Khan and Erdem. Starting off with Chanel, if you haven't seen it in news already, it was a lovely feminist gesture. But with reference to the actual clothes, I liked that they were simpler silhouettes, relying on colours for the edge. The watercolour print is…Read more
Spring 2015 RTW : Paris Fashion Week : Part Two

Spring 2015 RTW : Paris Fashion Week : Part Two

Hey guys! I'm kinda sad that my perfect long weekend is coming to an end. Oh well, here's some fashion for distraction. It's part two of Paris Fashion Week SS 15! I really like the crisp white separates at the Dior show. I don't know if long coats are making a comeback but the burgundy and hot pink one looks amazing. I also liked the textured jackets at the Issey Miyake show. I haven't featured Anrealage in this blog before but I really loved the shadow as a print idea, it's quite unique.…Read more
Spring 2015 RTW : Paris Fashion Week : Part One

Spring 2015 RTW : Paris Fashion Week : Part One

The finale of the big four is Paris Fashion Week. Here are some of the SS 15 collections! Balenciaga was a much better version of Alexander Wang, it's the one I like. It mixes sportiness with femininity and wearability. I loved the draped fabric alongside the mesh and perforated ones. The silhouettes were modern and I liked the muted pastels as well. The jackets and coats in Barbara Bui's collection looks like something you'd find in Rajasthan but these have a lot more geometry to them. I loved the bright red workwear in…Read more
Magazine Mayhem September 2014

Magazine Mayhem September 2014

Hey guys! The extra long weekend is finally here and I can't wait! It'll be nice to just relax, catch up with friends and sleep for 12 hours a day! Time for another Magazine Mayhem. Fall issues are when fashion magazines turn  it up a notch and it's interesting to see the different September trends on the covers themselves! Read more about my favourites after the (heavy) images! Enjoy!     Vogue Japan had a high impact cover with the 5 amazing supermodels on the cover. Maybe it's the Pretty Little Liars fan in…Read more
Spring 2015 RTW : Milan Fashion Week : Part Two

Spring 2015 RTW : Milan Fashion Week : Part Two

Hey guys! Here's the second and final part of Milan Fashion Week SS15. You can catch up with Part One here. I tend to like Versace's sensual dresses, they always know how to show off a body. It was a stunning change to find more contemporary silhouettes and perforated cut out patterns. I loved how lux the grey-taupe gowns looked at the Giorgio Armani show. It's a difficult colour which looks graceful but dull. The jackets and blazers were another feature. Pleated prints were the highlight of Roberto Cavalli's show and they were…Read more

Spring 2015 RTW : Milan Fashion Week : Part One

Milan Fashion Week houses so many big names, it's a delight to watch the runway shows. I very much liked Gucci's show. I'm not a 100% certain if skorts are involved but I love the sheer little dresses with embellishment and the sleek coats. I loved the whimsy aspect of Alberta Ferretti's show with the sheer layers and floral applique, it's not very unique but I'm still very much hung up on that style. Emporio Armani has blues in every possible colour but the separates were second to none. I always have this…Read more
Spring 2015 RTW : London Fashion Week : Part Two

Spring 2015 RTW : London Fashion Week : Part Two

Hey guys! So, this is the final post covering London Fashion Week Spring 2015. A lot of favourites here including Burberry and Erdem. Read more about my favourites below or just enjoy scrolling through the collections. Erdem always has a way of introducing florals in an interesting way with very sleek and lady like silhouettes. This time the rainforest green and navy made a beautiful palette. Burberry Prorsum also made it's mark with the sheer layers and map prints. There also seemed a few remixed outfits from previous trends but overall it was…Read more
