When I first saw the trailer of Talaash I was super excited. After all the 80′s inspired misogynistic bullshit that’s been playing in theatres lately (Dabaang, Ek Tha Tiger and the rest of the despicable movies), Amir Khan and a mystery movie was like a breath of fresh air. Amir in the movie is a cop who is after the case where cars mysteriously slide off the road and jump into the Arabian Sea (off Marine Drive). Rani plays the “dutiful” wife. Notice, how I hate saying the word while Kareena plays the role of a prostitute.

Argo is a film depicting the true events of the Canadian Caper , as it’s popularly dubbed. Long story short, in 1979 during the Iranian Revolution led by Khomeini, the people inside the American embassy in Tehran were held hostage. 6 people managed to escape were brought back to the US with an elaborate out-of-the-box op; the hostages pretending to be part of a movie crew. Who doesn’t love a good spy/action thriller? The Debt (2011) is a must watch for such lovers! I cannot turn away a movie with Sam Worthington and Helen Mirren!
