In one of my concluding posts on London Fashion Week, I will focus on collections by Julien MacDonald, Mark Fast and Mulberry.
Julien MacDonald’s collection is evidently meant for parties, celebrations and other such occasions. The silhouettes are fitted or they flow beautifully with the multitude of strings. I liked the latter half of the collections with the sheer on the side gowns and dresses. The crystal leaf like dress in blue was very striking as well. I also loved the bright yellow lace dress.
You could say that Mark Fast’s collection was rather bird like but knits and feathers were a feature here. It was interesting to see how much it could be pushed, and the result was very larger than life. I do love the wraps, they look so sturdy and in the block colours, very modern as well.
Mulberry’s collection had less whimsy this year but something but wearable. I love the chunky knit plaid coats with fur trimmings. The billowy half sleeves with leather gloves makes the look very classy. I found that aspect to be the best part of the collection.
