The next three collections were presented at New York Fashion Week and are so different from the collections seen before. These have spunk, more colours, textures and it’s a brilliant melange.
This collection really impressed me. You will hear this a told in this post! The embellished skull print is a great spin on the trend although, it is getting rather old now. Have skull run their course? But there were plenty of other things to marvel at; the mix of prints which look scary and beautiful together. The inspirations are obvious, India and Morocco. As the show progressed, the outfits became more simple, the embellishments more organized and the palette less busy. There are too many separates I love to jot them down here but the coats in particular are exquisite.
Mara Hoffman has a real talent for mixing prints and it all came together beautifully for fall as well. Only this time, with hard kick of colour, you also had comfy knits. The look is very tribal and reminds me of some Rajasthani prints. The blue maxi looks incredibly beautiful. There are many separates here that people will want.
Hervé Léger By Max Azria
Max Azria’s collection always has me imagine a woman in a fast paced life looking her best. For fall the collection could not ave been more perfect. The body hugging dresses seem to add more curves. The symmetric shapes have a slimming effect and I imagine it’ll be a big hit with non-models. I love the printed leggings in the collection. The dresses with sequins and graphically design in them look really beautiful. Overall, the silhouette is very flattering.
