This is one of the last fall collections from New York Fashion Week. Ralph Lauren was amazing but J. Mendel and Marc Jacobs were great too.
I just love how bright and colourful this collection is. Right off the bat, the coat sets the tone. It’s all bold, edgy and very very wearable. I love the teal leather dress and the mesh/weave like gowns, so intricate. The draped gowns look very whimsical and I like how simple they look.
I really love the colour palette here. The light pale pinks and dusty mauves are amazing colours and to see them in fall is great as well! This collection is fit for any rich polished lady, it looks very elegant and clean. I really like the dresses with the pleating and the suits. Overall, its a very feminine and stunning collection.
After seeing so many “busy” and over the top collections, it’s very refreshing to see Marc Jacobs go down the minimalist route. There’s incredible rtw here with the pants, knitwear etc. But it’s not just that, you get a glimpse of something great with that wave like gradient fabric and how it transforms into a dress is just beautiful. I love the effect it has, it’s so simple but visually very imposing.
