Fall 2014 RTW : Narciso Rodriguez, Bibhu Mohapatra and Michael Kors

Love these fall collections from Narciso Rodriguez, Bibhu Mohapatra and Michael Kors!

Narciso Rodriguez

There’s a a lot of well made tailored clothing, including the oversize ones. There’s that familiar colourblock scheme running through but the bright orange red pieces are stunning. The little dress with the silver sequins running through it also looks great.

It’s the lines that create such a stunning effect in this collection. Inspired by topology you can sense the earthy hues but the silhouettes are by themselves very strong. I love the first look with the sheer and opaque work. The coats are stunning and paired with that minimal glove updates the look. The gowns looks immense and cinematic but the simpler mustard yellow one is also very beautiful.

This feels identifiably like a fall collection, mainly due to the colours (or lack of them). The grey is overpowering. I’m not too thrilled with this collection, it feels very mediocre and nothing stands out for me.
