As day 3 of Lakme Fashion Week came to a close, collections from Shikha & Vinita, Munkee.See.Munkee.Soo and Rimi Nayak! I think day 3 had some really diverse and quirky collections.
Shikha & Vinita
I love the colour palette of the Shikha & Vinita collection. Whenever you say spring, you have an abundance of pastels, neons and warm colours. It was nice to see periwinkle blue, more tonal greens and white in the mix. It looked very calming! This collection features some really amazing design elements and applique as well! I love the sheer white skirt with the blue collar and button line. The draped sideways peplum like skirt in that blue looks gorgeous. Overall, this collection was very modern but still managed to stay within a wearable zone.
Carrying forward, this collection had sheer pieces with piping to add dimension and structure. I love the pencil skirts with the small slit, sometimes two. The printed skirt with the slit and piping is really chic.
I felt like Rimi Nayak’s collection was rather too simple. I love the prints and the silhouettes, I just didn’t feel like there was anything new being said. The patterns looked very vintage, I think using more modern silhouettes would have made them utterly distinguishable.
