Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week: Dsquared², Gucci and Alberta Ferretti
We start with Milan’s shows which really peeked my interest. They always seem more exciting and colourful than London!
The retro silhouette with a twist is quite something though not too flattering at times! Looks a lot like a Barbie waist. But I do like the coral pieces and the embellished coat. Another interesting part of this collection are the statement jewelry. Varying from rings, earrings to necklaces, there are a lot of quirky pieces.
I have to say, I’m a little disappointed. It’s not as iconic or fashion forward or even memorable as far as Gucci shows go. The mesh and piping give it a more athletic look against the warm palette and symmetric designs. Still, there are some pieces like the magenta separates which are eye catching. I just well underwhelmed overall and that glitter doesn’t look chic.
We have a winner here!!! How gorgeous is this modern baroque inspired collection? I literally want every piece!! The ribbons are just a clever trick. The gowns, styling, it all has just a classic Spanish look to it. That red peplum jacket with the narrow skirt and the white gowns are stunning.
