Spring 2014 RTW at London Fashion Week : John Rocha, David Koma and Holly Fulton
John Rocha’s collection is wonderfully inspired by florals. He gives them more dimension with the applique and draping. I love the fullness of it all. he also then transcends into using coil like threads to create the floral shapes and the ultimate dress, which untangles it all. It’s lovely.
This was a stellar collection!! It’s so modern and simple, it just blows your mind. I love the cuts and proportions, they flatter all body shapes and look wonderful. I also live the thin thread by which the panels seem connected. There’s a very interior architectural look to it all. The leather accent on the asymmetrical dresses and seams looks just amazing. It’s hands down on the best collections of London Fashion Week.
There was a very retro feel to this collection, with the fit and proportions. I’m not too fond of those. But I did like the bold prints and how they formed shapes. That colourful coral gown is stunning.
