Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Missoni, Salvatore Ferragamo and Emilio Pucci
There was a new direction for the staple Missoni stripes. This time they were more subtle in the silhouette of the birds and waves, the necklines and in the arrangement of colours. I love the first skirt with the slit and the print.
I’m not particularly fond of python prints (fake or real), or any snake print for that matter. It’s 100% a result of my Ophidiophobia. That said, I do like the asymmetric pleats on one side. I also like the beige leather top.
This is such a fierce and detailed collection, you really need to look hard at the outfits to see it all. What I liked is that the heavy prints were all in modern styles. I love the prints especially the maxi dress with the black sequin top and the flowy print at the bottom. the sequin rainbow dress seemed a bit out of place, but is very diva worthy. The simpler pieces towards the end have so much edge due to the detailing.
