Spring 2014 RTW at New York Fashion Week : Tadashi Shoji, Tanya Taylor and Creatures of the Wind
A few days into New York Fashion Week and the big names will be flooding in soon! All 3 collections below are incredibly unique and ‘summery’.
Never really thought of plaid and spring together but it looks brilliant. Using a light sheer fabric really enhances the look. The blue plaid dress with lace on the sides is really something. I love how lace is played in with sheer fabric. The lace peplum and ruffle dresses are just gorgeous. I’m not too fond of fringes but the metallic blue dress with the beading effect is just stunning!
You can tell Tanya Taylor has a love for colour had she incorporates beautifully. The stripped numbers look sophisticated and not cheap at all. The sprayed colourful print is so young and fresh. The asymmetric hems and slight volume are also a big draw to the clothes and enhance the look. Love this collection to bits!
Creatures of the Wind
You can always find interesting ideas and motifs at a Creatures of the Wind show. The vector like flowers are hard to decipher but look amazing nonetheless. The coats and blazers with colour blocking and prints mixed in have a rather forward.
