Spring 2014 RTW at Paris Fashion Week : Yohji Yamamoto, Cacharel and Haider Ackermann
The collection had a lot of depth in terms of the variety. The peek-a-boo blazers felt very fresh. The fluorescent hues were like a breath of fresh in what would have otherwise been a bland runway show. The camo print and layers gave the pieces a very wearable feel.
Cacharel’s collection looks excellent! I love the floral and stripe prints used. There is this particular magenta floral print which is very similar to ones used in Roland Mouret and Thakoon shows, it’s gorgeous and so is the halter pleated dress. The maxi dress in stripes looks very chic.
The collection felt like a collective of idealistically masuline and feminine outlooks. There were long blazers, almost oversize and domineering. The flowing skirts with pleats soon followed and it looked beautiful. But as always, the collection retains it’s edge.
