So New York Fashion Week Spring 2015 RTW is almost at the end there have been some really great shows so far.
I really liked Escada and the bright colours and prints used. Halston Heritage has such a sleek and modern collection. I love the silhouettes.
There’s always something to look forward to at a Monique Lhuillier show and the pastel lace gown is just incredible. I could just watch those gowns all day and feel at peace.
BCBG Maz Azria has a bit of a shabby chic thing going on but I actually really like those flowy printed maxi skirts. For me, this time round, Jason Wu’s collection just wasn’t so inspiring. It’s that shade of green that just sort of kills it for me. I do like the finale gowns though.
Tadashi Shoji is also a show I look forward to. I liked the sheer threaded inserts but with the strong pattern it does look a bit overwhelming. Cushnie et Ochs is all about the edgy necklines and this time is no different. They’ve used one of the more flattering shades of yellow and it works really well.
Some of my favourite prints were from Lyn Devon. That pineapple print is just everything. Wes Gordon had some excellent work wear in his minimalist aesthetic. I also very much like the bright prints from Trina Turk as well as that hot pink jumpsuit.
